My door window regulator is broken. It rolls down without a problem but when I try to roll it back up the motor starts struggling and the window goes slowly DOWN (it stays in place when the switch isn't pressed). I pressed the switch and pulled the window up by hand to get it back up. This problem is only on the passenger side window, I suspect through lack of use. Does the regulator just need some grease or is the motor just about to die? Thanks in advance *edit It does not make any cracking sounds

we recommend since you are going to go through all the trouble of installing a new regulator, greasing the pivot clips is a must. Be sure to visit our website for your pre-owned bmw parts www.bimmermerchant.com

What if the motor isn't working ... how do I release it to make it free

We haven't experienced a bad motor. We recommend you would need to drill out rivets so you can have access to the arm pins. Let us know how it goes
