So I was skeptical about this being so easy but I followed this guy's link to ebay and bought the same kit I plugged it in and bam it really did work as a plug and play system just a heads up though you don't have to use push button or red flasher if you don't want them plus it helps cut down on the wiring and if you actually remove the glove box my 2000 z3 actually had a empty slot to fit in the keyless entry system perfectly well worth it thanks for the video and heads up

This was helpful but it seems to be unnecessary to mess with all those glovebox screws. Just remove the three quarter turn plastic upholstery clips and remove the black panel, then look up with a flashlight and you’ll see everything you need! 😅 BTW: Looks like the eBay price is up to $150 now, but the seller sent me a 15% discount offer after I added it to my watch list
