I think the base model looks great. The design is clean and elegant, has a much clearer identity, and more stature than the previous X3. It also looks much more contemporary and cutting edge. You can see how BMW’s foray into electric cars is also influencing the design of their ICE models with more aerodynamic shapes and a lower center of gravity

That grill looks weak! Come on bmw your much better than that. Angled from the side all throughout would look alot better! Also the rear lights don't do it any justice at all.I think I'll get into designing myself.Thanks for the inspiration.

The Range Rover Velar was launched in 2017 and the VELAR’s exterior and interior design is way more beautiful than this. Restrained but elegant. This is loud and looks like a bling bling modded car from the 2000s with those funny lights and chrome plastics that people get from autozone.

Putting the LIDAR on the kidney grille is super weird! Wish they'd put it on the center of the lower grille, like the G30 had, would look more symmetrical!

Looks good! I like the clean exterior without the black plastic cladding.

I see the same comments here as when the X1 launched. After 2 years almost everyone likes that car and its the best selling in its segment. It will be the case with this one. Everyone hates it now, in 2 years you'll see it on every street in europe and people will like it. This has none of the flaws of the 5 series or the new 1.

No, I still don't like anything new BMW have come up with in the last 3 years. The current 3-series is nice, especially the pre LCI version which I currently drive. But next car will probably not be an BMW sadly.

So this base trim is PHEV and is not coming to the US? Glad. But will the base gasoline in the US still look like this? Sigh.

Ooh this is quite disappointing, I will be choosing a CPO 2024 X3 M40i instead of the new X3. It somehow looks even cheaper than the X1 and X2 😅 . I am so let down by this. Emergency redesign please!!

@@GokhanajIt may be. But Bmws best selling models in Europe are also the most conservative and least experimentsl in terms of design. The previous x3 and Bmw 3 series. Will be interesting to see if this one sells more and on what markets. It looks bad on video, but often cars look better irl than in videos.

yes, the whole car, front end so much body, the side profile, it is indeed similar to Discovery, sharing the same problem, too dumb, fat and body. Simple clean design does not mean no design. DB9 when it came out, that was beautiful clean design. This? Especially thr M50, all looks wrong.

VW style cost cuts inside. At this price is absolutely unacceptable.

Never bought into the “bigger is better” concept. I’m ok with the grill slats, except for its oversized Asian market inspired size. An Alpina version of this SUV though, should be a performance beast.

The car DOES NOT look good. It is definetely a downgrade from the current generation BUT I gotta admit that in that color it does look good.

Unlike many of the other commenters I an liking the exterior look of the 2025 X3… the interior is low quality and poorly designed and material selection and lighting looks very Target store to me… I was strongly considering buying it but read today that it is being built in the USA and in the third world country of South Africa…. This is a definite non-starter for me… I want my BMW built in Germany.

We are probably witnessing the introduction of a new style of design...gangnam style!

Wow this Tesla fan boy designer just ruined BMW’s bread and butter cash machine. He thought he could use cheap recyclable plastic and fabric, use Temu sourced door handles and steal Tesla customers? Just because they have video games and garish LEDs? Fool never realized that BMW customer never cross shopped Tesla in the first place. You can’t even get real leather at any price point and they didn’t forget to raise prices by like 15%. You can “option” this to $85k. Last year’s top was $73k. Absurd!! This will be a huge sales flop in the US. They deserve it

I was holding out for this to replace my 2021 X3. It's not going to happen. This new design (exterior and interior) is very disappointing.

Front end is slightly too big, but more importantly it’s too round. It’s a mix between the X2 and neue klasse iX3. The worst of both worlds. It needed to be sharper, narrow, concise. The X1 and X5 are fine. X3 a miss imo.

This is sad. Angel eyes have turned into Lexus signature headlights

Great interview! However, BMW has lost its mind. What the heck is this? In my opinion, I just heard a whole bunch of BS and no true response. And the inside, what is this? no metal door handles, window switches are just hard plastic, the speaker grilles are hidden even in the x1 they are aluminum.... theres not even a single piece of aluminum in the cabin and the doors and the dash is covered in this hard plastic.... what is going on is this a bmw or a cheap chinese EV? Just be honest BMW, you are trying to cut the cost in order to be able to sell it in china in half the price without loss.... pitty

It looks awful. It is too simplistic, too much plastic in the interior. Nowadays it looses the characteristics, the details that matters. I do not like this trend to minimalistic design. This new X3 does not feel as a real premium car at all that BMW used to do. It is is a very big disappointment. The X5 facelift looks very beautiful, the interior of X5 is very nice, very premium feeling, very good looking. The X5 still looks like a premium BMW as it should be.

INTERIORS LOOK THE WORST, LOOKS CHEAP, FEELS CHEAP...SEATS FROM TOYOTA, DASH FROM HYUNDAI? WTF.

Horrible Horrible design inside and out, BMW shame on you for hiring sneaker freaks to design your cars. Will stick with the G01, you ruined what could have been a great upgrade option. No manual AC controls is unforgivable and sneaker seats.... nothing luxury in there.... and the moment about hand crafted PLASTIC, yes that really screams luxury. TOTAL FAIL
