BMW R1300GS Crash Bars Drop Test by Outback Motortek

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We've done it again! This time we tortured our crash bars for BMW's new flag ship motorcycle, the 1300GS model. As always we want to be fully transparent and show all the details of the crash bars drop test and also present the improvements for our production version crash bars.
Availabilty from mid July, 2024. More details: zaap.bio/bmw_1300gs

Looks like an awesome product, I can say with another brand setup aka black dog drops end up flexing the crash bar reinforcement system and punching holes in the valve covers. Hard problem to fully solve I’m sure but your system looks like the most robust for a gs trophy bike that is being dropped allot during training and competition. Jess Hofherr 1200 surely survived all the gs trophy and Sendit stuff thanks to your bars that is a fact. I’ll certainly go to your bars for my 1250 if I decide to compete again next year. Thanks for being totally open and transparent and constantly troubleshooting your own product.

Well, when you started the engine, it sounded ☠‼ The bike with protection is, almost, as wide as a car ! - You can't filter in most of the worlds' traffic jams...., but the protection for this one, is extra important - due to the most ridiculous engine design..... IF you do more tests like this in the future ( on any bike ) - with many drops - start the bike after EACH DROP - so you / we ( if you publish it here ) know WHEN the damage appeared. If the engine gets killed after 3rd + drop - the protection is EXCELLENT. If on the first - well....
