best 5 series of all time

They're just not worth the cash anymore sadly.

My favourite bmw all time favourite the only two bmws I liked were bmw m5 e39 bmw m3 e46 and bmw 7 series e38 just because it was used in one of the bond films. But this car can't be beaten by any other bmw even new ones fall down the hill when this one comes up. I'm looking for one.

E38 and e39 are my alltime favorite cars

Yep. I saw that auction. Incredible considering the sticker prices wers in the 70-80 thousand range.

Did I hear that right, he's making a comparison between the M5 and a Vectra...? lol WHAT!? Vectra is a dull shopping trolley. Best thing you can say is that its good value. No match for any BMW never mind an M5.

Mine does about 22-23 (UK) mpg. On a run it'll go up to 26mpg.

I have a 540i and around town it will do about 17mpg, mix in some motorway and that rises to around 20mpg average. On a pure motorway run it'll just about manage 30mpg which I think is surprisingly good for a 4.4l V8. Interestingly, its more economical at 80~85mph than it is at 70mph.

Similar mpg or l/100 km's actually, I have an M5 and Ive had 540's aswell. A manual 540 is a little big better on fuel than the M5 but an auto 540 is no better at all, atleast mine wasnt't. Sure if you drive like a hooligan the M5 likes a drink, but so does the others too, M5 just a little bit more.

So M5 is almost exactly same from exterior like 520d or i e39 models right ?.Litlle different front mask of car,nothing else as i see.And bigger wheels ofc.

Yes, its called being subtle. Different front and rear bumpers, different mirrors, small boot lip spoiler, quad exhausts, completely different suspension and 18inch wheels with wider rears. Inside is identical to other high spec e39 apart from unique front seats.

TheSRBgamer63 BMW has, unlike the Audi RS6, made their M5 more subtle. It has the M package, which can be bought as an optional extra to a 520d yes, except for the quad pipes out the end. This is also true for the newest M5. The F90.
