I never really recorded 1/4 mile dragy runs with this car, Dragy app is useless for syncing runs across different phones so I don't have any old runs data for this car apart from a few 100-200 times I posted on the leadboards . I've sinced changed cars too.

@@nathanscaddan2297 best 100-200 on the day trying to get used to a recently fitted lsd and launching it cleany was 8.4, it was a VMAX event so I was just working on top speed to be honest . 800m top speed was 238kmh

Good to see the B58 torque pulled it back for the win ! My M140i has a Wagner 200 cell cat, ITG panel filter, and is mapped to 455bhp/634nm, oh and I have XHP3 ZF8 software too, but with only RWD it isn't that much faster to 30mph than a standard car because I can't get any f@cking traction LOL ! When I do just manage to balance everything for a really nice low 4's to 60, at least I know I DID THAT and not the AWD system like RS3/A45/GolfR drivers ;-P

B58 came out in 2016 and only as a 340i. This 335d is on the n55 platform.

@@ARDEN440i Damn, is it that obvious that I am an unashamed fanboy :-)))) Mine has had all work done by A Reeve performance in Kings Lynn, very good tuner. It was on a warm day too, and my car was heat soaked on the dyno, so I'd bet on some other tuners dyno's (ones who over-exaggerate figures) it would probably make 470+. A Reeve dyno is pretty conservative matey !

@@InnaB58 i would say it was a good day nonetheless. The m140i sounds great. They look good for what they are. In that i mean hatchbacks are not for me, but i recognize they are stylish.

Sounded like 4th gear either shortshifted or it was a driver error, still caught it though🤷‍♂️ I've had a few pulls with M140i's and they are quick as fuck. I've got a 330d xdrive estate with a stage 1 and it will smoke an M140i from a launch, but after they pick up speed you're done 😳😳😳

In real world street racing its mainly rolling starts example motorways etc and the m140i would gap that smoke train buy atleast 10 car lengths

I'm not 100% sure but I think it was a local mapper Joe Power, he is the usual go to for diesel stuff

And that is why diesel will always be faster in the real world

@@InnaB58 No, Tesla's build quality is on par with the OceanGate submarine. 335D has better economy and is faster off the line. Don't need anything else for the street.

@@GapeGang it's a tad lighter than an m5 and I've upgrade the turbo etc on this one so she moves! It doesn't feel like a 5 series if that makes sense.

@@alexandre_w4135 good for you mate, mine is rwd. Practice makes perfect as they say. It was a VMAX event not 1/4 mile so perfect launches were less important

That 335d Was Not 400bhp, You would No Have Come Back That Quick With The Amount Of Torque That Has. I reckon your near on 500bhp and That Bmw is 340-360bhp

335d owner said he was running 400bhp so just quoting what he said, the dragy numbers for my m140i says its no where near 500bhp, probably around 430-440, ill try get it on a dyno next month and see what the stage 2 95 ron and e30 maps make for comparison

335d xdrive : 400bhp, 800Nm weighs 1705kg. M140i st. 2 : 440bhp 700Nm weighs 1490kg. M140i wins because it is 215kg less weight (like 2/3 passengers) with more top end power, a bit less torque but much less weight to pull into the ‘air resistance’

@@stingyrogerr Thanks for the comment, m140i is a bit heavier i think, 1550kg with full tank + driver. 335D torque + xdrive is hard to beat from a standstill but once i got moving i caught him just in time. Good fueling made a huge difference in mid/high range torque

Yes and no. The 335d is not 400bhp, owner might say so but the black smoke out the back says otherwise. The torque helps lower down and would smash most things off the mark, M140i pulls like a train in higher RPM however the way it came back at the end would highlight that the 335D is more like 340-350bhp with a poor quality map. I'd expect the M140i to start clawing it back but not that quickly lol.

Except it wasn't a street race, it was a VMAX event. Of course xdrive will launch much better than a RWD from a standing start. Still reeled in the turf burner in easily and crossed the line before him and a much higher top speed. Sounds like a win to me .

@@danh2310 I don't have this car anymore, but the seats didn't have any lumbar support option . So I added a lumbar pad to the seat and it was much more comfortable
