My E32 got stuck in the snow today, even though it has the 188 LSD diff. When looking at the rear tire on the driver side when trying to accelerate, the tire didn't turn at all while the other one was spinning. I think it might be time for a rebuild... Trying to figure out what pack I should choose, just the service pack or some of the Stage packs? I'm gonna watch more videos about this.

Do you have those smaler shims for sale?

Does this apply to the rear diff for the MKZ / Fusion Sport setup recently shipped? Thank you!!

Hey mates we’re looking at rebuilding an AMG LSD and putting it into a 2012 C63. We’re about to inspect the clutch packs do you have options for replacement?

What lsd diff for an e83 3.0i automatic 3.64 ratio 188K or 188L ? since i swapped this diff into my e46 to get lower gear ratio

If you are asking for conversion kit, you will need 188L for it.

does this also work for nissans r200? because shimming only works for approx 200 kilometers then its back to normal

We don't have clutches for R200 diff. We do have upgrade pack for R180. However we would live to make upgrade pack for factory R200, if you would provide samples.

Do I need to use the “saver plate”? I dont want to. I just want to put everything in at my garage and not worry with finding some professionals who will trim the ramp for me

Absolutely not necessary if your pressure plates aren't damaged from previous clutches.

For the last step where you have to press the "cap" down, how should the lsd be oriented in the press? In other words, the press should be pressing down on the cap, but how should I hold the lsd at the bottom? Obviously not the VSS gear, not the body of the lsd...???

Put the inner bearing cone under the LSD core so you dont damage bearing.

188mm = 2.93 diff from 328i E36 right? I have LSD diff in my 328i but its slipping a lot

The 8 screws holding in the clutch pack are incredibly tight and soft. I just rounded a hex out trying to remove. What to do now...

Get a 12 angled star, often used in VW tools and hammer it down. Like torx key but much sharper.

@@RacingDiffs this worked on 6 of 8. Sadly the final two i think may need EDM. I even broke an extractor off in one.

Get your diff set in the hydro press and press it like you are installing new bearing. That will neutralise preload on the cap. Helps removing bolts.

@@RacingDiffs Good tip. I ended up having to mill one of the bolts out. All good now though. upgrade to nice 10.9 hex heads.

is everything the same when it comes the 210mm large case? No machining to the carrier cap needed when adding extra clutch disc(s)?

Not at all. They are completely different. That is why we made conversion set for 535d.

Witch oil do you recommend I a E30 188 differential? I seen different people use : Motul 75w140 synthetic or Motul 90PA SAE90 mineral

I remember using the 90 oil for a while on my E32 188 LSD and the diff got loud on slow turns. I switched to 75W140 and it was quiet again.

When my preasur plates are okay and not damaged musst i use also the 0,5 plate or can i built it without the 0,5 plate . Pls anwser fast i built it now 😅 Sorry for bad english

If they are okay, you don't need to use Ramp saver shim.

How much lock up is stg 2 with 4 clutches? Is all I need is the stg 2 kit to install?

Stg 2 brings 50% lock. It is plug and play. Everything comes in the set.👍🏻

Not recommended as you will thinner hardened layer too much.

No matter. Hardened layer is 0.7mm thick so it is better to do both of them for 0.25 than one for 0.5.

The best way is the surface grinder.
