I’ve had one installed on my e90 for about 9 months and it’s brilliant. Google maps sat nav, Spotify and the JB4 app all work brilliant. Well worth the money!!!

Kyle Durkin I’d try and find why your existing one isn’t working first. Could be a fuse or on some models they stupidly put the idrive module under the spare wheel compartment where it can fill with water and damage it

If anyone is wondering the factory system still works 100% this head unit is like having a android tablet connected to your original screen

Seems like a great upgrade for people with the more reliable 03/2007+ CCC system. It is a bit pricey at $600 with the most adapter required for logic 7 and individual audio cars. Please do a six month update with the current status of the system.

Will do, I have logic 7 and did not require a most adapter for install. Your fiber optic cable just moves over to the new harness.

Cheers from another N54 E90 owner in Texas. I'm curious how you even came across this mod? All the BMW guys I know just shop for an E series without nav, so there isn't iDrive.... but this changes the game with the ability to view MHD gauges in the factory display. So much win.... keep up the good work.

Hey man, great install video. Looks a lot easier than I would have imagined. Questions though: I have an 08 E92 with CCC nav, and my MULF module is fried, so the USB and AUX in in the center console don't work. Do you know if this system is bypassing the MULF making it unnecessary, or do you think I would have problems with the AUX/USB with this setup as well? My CCC control knob and head unit work fine otherwise.

Is this only when you already have NAV with I drive controller ? or I can install this with NON nav ( only dashboard upgrade ) ; thanks great videos , greats DIY , keep up the good work and THANKS

Awesome reviews, love the channel. 2 questions though, have you tried it for logging with MHD? Regarding the audio quality, would a USB DAC work? I've seen the spec sheet says the USB ports support OTG

Thanks. Yeah I've used it to log with MHD, works well. The DAC on this model is good, sounds nice. It's only the early models with Android 4.4.4 that don't sound good but I don't see why this wouldn't support a USB DAC if you wanted.

I wanted to ask if I have to do something to startup the android headed menu by something like pressing or holding a key. Have seen something here on another video. Or is it showing up the android headed menu directly after firing up the car? Another question is if there is a way to come back to the original menu of BMW when the technicians need it? I really want to get one of these for my e92 but all of the wiring worries me, I know nothing about car electrics or wiring and this looks very complicated to me sadly. It's a real shame because I really like the look of the unit and the features it has over the standard ccc unit I have right now.

I have a PX6 Android like yours and was wondering if the OEM retrofit heads-up display work with the app running on the android head unit? Also did BMW fix the Garmin app license issue? Would you recommend the HUD after using it for some time? - Is it not possible to make it look more clean? One last thing. The newest firmware (release date 20.05.2019) for the PX6 fixes the sound quality (Not the Aux input noise but the sound chip). If you can’t get the steering wheel controls working with Spotify and other 3 party apps, just start the integrated music payer, hit back and open Spotify, then the next and prev. song buttons work (Arrow up / Down). I use an APP that starts the two music players at startup in the write order, then it works every time you start the unit. (App - Boot Apps) BTW, just found your channel, you make first class tutorials. - Subscribed 😊

Hi bud 👋. Did the GPS splitter work well with the head unit?. Seems a sensible thing to do rather then mounting the one provided. Essentially will do this myself if it worked well for you. 🇬🇧

The android upgrade looks cool :o Anyone know if this fits a CCC with a smaller original screen too? I own a '07 e90 with a ccc but a small screen and it sucks, this seems like a very nice upgrade

How does it do for glare and visibility in direct sunlight? Because the original screen, although low res and obviously being an outdated system, really shines when it comes to that. Reason I ask is mine is an E93 (convertible), so glare and visibility is a concern for me. Thanks!

Weirdly also... this Seicane Android 9 unit for a 2009 335i Convertible does not have an off button and constantly stay on causing a power drain fault error code. And it does not have fader/balance controls, but rather only equalizer available.

Is there still a 5 second delay between steering wheel (next track) button input and the track change when using Bluetooth?

Tempted to buy from Seicane for my f12.. I feel like there are a bunch of negative videos out there, but this video was really helpful... PLUS it's on a BMW. When you start up does it do anything odd? For example I just like how my OEM screen does the normal bmw screen menu. Does this automatically passthrough to that, or is there a big Seicane logo and Chinese characters for example

I just installed the seicane android 9 unit on my e93 335i N54 and all functions except no sound from youtube or any files from the android unit... radio play fine, can't use ipod anymore also.

sounds stupid, but yes. Don't know why they didn't manage to do the connection directly to the CCC unit and not passing stupid AUX plug under the armrest. Anyway the is a cable going from the armrest to the CCC unit...

Does this replace the CCC or does the CCC have to be working? Mine messed up and I want to either have it rebuilt or upgrade

Two questions here #1 will this work on a 2006 325xi? #2 if number 1 is a yes, will I need the stock radio to get steering wheel controls working and center controls to work or will an aftermarket radio do this?

hey i have a question, i have a e92 with the non navigation, i’m looking into putting a navigation into my car with the dash ect is there a different harness or can i just use the one that comes with this and plug it into the radio i buy off ebay?

There is got to be a better version by now. Does the CCC have to be functioning for the aftermarket screen to work?

The video is great? Am I right to assume the iDrive on the console is how you are navigating through the menu? Also, are you using the original radio and just replacing the screen? My system is exactly what your showing in your video but navigation quit loading on my unit and the whole thing shuts down and reboots about every 3 minutes.
