    the E31 is such a nice touring car...ive driven three of them. a Dinan 840, 6spd 850, and the CSi. the CSi is my favorite and i was impressed by how smoothly the V12 delivered its power and torque. wish i could afford to own one

    Amazing. This person on video must be cruising with more than 200km/h with no sweat. The car must be a good car to enable both this speed and stability. Great video.

    That is the 850CSI which has a 5.7 Liter V-12, well two I-6 motors mounted together. Produces about 380HP, 400lb/torque, six speed gearbox, weighs 4,100 pounds. Good car for solid runs on autobahn, mileage around 5-7 MPG at that speed.

    I agree just what somebody else said that this is the most realistic and the best high-speed driving video that I've ever seen. You can almost feel that it's you're driving yourself. And this video shows that speed limits aren't overall necessary on highways. Live free and drive fast!

    Very enjoyable video. 75mph seems like a severe drop. I guess what amazes me most is than most people looked to be just crusing along slowly. What I liked the most is how people get the hell out of the left lane. You just don't see that very often here in the US.

    There can be speed limits at a Autobahn! "Certainly, speed limits do apply at junctions and other danger points, like sections under construction or in need of repair. Speed limits at non-construction sites are generally 100 km/h, 120 km/h, or sometimes even 130 km/h; construction sites have a usual speed limit of 80 km/h but may be as low as 60 km/h or even 40 km/h. Certain stretches have separate, and lower, speed limits used in cases of wet lanes. "

    That Autobahn isn't generally restricted. If you look closer you'll see metal bridges over the road every couple of Km's. Those are computers that put up speed limits if there is heavy traffic or bad weather etc. If the traffic is like in the video, there is no limit.

    The worst thing about driving at high speeds for extended periods is when you have to stop for refuelling and you drive onto a garage forecourt at 100kmh because you dont realise how fast youre going.

    In Germany, more than 57 percent of the motorways don't have any speed limit. Just an adviced speed limit, which is 130km/h (81mph). Moreover, I always take that motorway (A2) when I go from Paris (France) Warsaw (Poland). When I drive 200km/h (125mph), there are always people overtaking me.

    Normally all JDM cars are limited to 180 km/h (110 mph), but a stock unlimited Skyline reaches 270 km/h easily. A stock BMW with the power to exceed 250 km/h is limited to 250, while the limiter can be removed without difficulty.

    the 850 CSI has a 5.7l V12 the engine code is S70/1 it is the same engine that went into the McLaren F1 there they used the S70/2 627hp and S70/3 680hp... The S70/3 was first planed for a top version of the 8series the M8. The 850CSI is a low cost version of the planed M8 which was deleted for cost reasons.

  • @MeanAffe
    @MeanAffe17 жыл бұрын

    It was the day before this certain stretch of the A2 around Hanover was restricted (at least during rush hour). Can you see the electronic bridges over the 'bahn all 3 to 7 kilometres? They indicate the speed limit electronically, so that speed can be adjusted to the traffic density. I can't tell you if it is a fixed or flexible speed limit, but anyway, the traffic density makes speed above 140 km/h nearly impossible on normal days.

    The initial problem why cargo transport was then put onto the road, was because trains could not go everywhere where trucks can go. Finally, you would still have to transport goods by truck from point A to B where the train cannot go. So, lastly we would not be able to get all of our trucks off the road, but perhaps the most of them. Extenting the railway system would also benefit normal ICE passengers because newer and better networks would be available to them.

Tree huggers, eco terrorists and road safety fascists will come and go, but the power of one man to take to the road in his automobile can never perish.

    Impressed with your driving but be careful. At that speed any tiny mistake will be horrific. I'm getting scared just watching this video. I did the same thing on the A2 near Hannover on the way to Poland, last September at night in my Audi S3. I hit about 165mph top speed. Recently I had a bad accident in England (shit country roads - A623) broke my right shoulder for life. Car was a total loss.

    Erstmal Kompliment für Ihre vortrefflichen Deutschkenntnisse. Was Sie meinen, ist richtig.
