Under the storage trays there's a ribbon cable, I see it in your video, you don't mention how to unplug it or what it's for. I'll check back latter, curious to know what it's for. Great video's omg thank you I have to replace my cass and it looked like such a hard job my bmw Stealer here wanted $2600 to do what you did in both videos I ordered the Cass for $100 buck online he wanted $1,700 for his and another $1,00 to install it... omg what a rip off... I'm so glad I found your videos

Hi guys. Great video Could anyone help me pls. I have a 735i 2002 and I have a Issa with a radio which can't find stations when I choose search and if I do find one manually than the sound goes up and down constantly while driving. Doesn't do it with CDs. While I'm stationary the radio plays ok but search for stations not possible. Any ideas what that could be?! Radio tuner or radio amplifier module ?! Thank you D

based on information that you are providing, sounds like your antenna amplifier modules need replacing. They should be located behind C Pillar on passenger side.

Can changing the radio to an aftermarket one cause the the idrive or any other systems not to work?

The ribbon cable that goes to the top tray (phone tray) seems to be connected somewhere inside of the dash on mine, any idea how to disconnect it?

Nevermind, once I disassembled the lower part (containing the cup holder), it revealed itself.

@@akvabullet it attaches to a socket underneath little storage space with the cigarette lighter, but I think it's only there if the car has the phone option
