Great video. The only bulbs to add are the outside halo lights. Access requires removal of the front tires and the wheel dust covers. Keep up the excellent work.

On the E63 and E64 the Halo's are lit by a single bulb each side - the single bulb is shown in this video (replaced with an LED in my car)

Your videos are informative and entertaining. They also help encourage me to undertake repairs on my car. Thank you.

Very happy with my New/Used 650i which is the same model and year as yours. I have subscribed and look forward to taking this journey with you. The only difference from my BMW and yours, is my steering wheel is on the left and correct side.

Hi Timm, having just scraped most of the skin off replacing my angel eye bulbs with leds as your excellent video. Bulbs work but no light from angel eyes. They DO feel as if they are seated but is this the likely cause ?

Thank you getting back to me Tim. Just double checked, Passenger side rear Break and Indicator lights work fine but not the Daytime running light/sidelight. I cant find anything online so a trip to BMW is in order. fingers crossed they have a solution, otherwise I'll have to buy a complete rear light :-(

Let us know how you get on!

You can install (much brighter) LED bulbs for the daytime running lights just need to code the computer to skip the bulb checking.

Hi Tim, Thank you so much for you really useful information, You know your onions when it come to these cars. I am a new proud owner of a 630 convertible (bought it 1 week ago). I seem to have a problem little problem but nobody seems to know what the problem is . I have no heat coming out of the heater vents. I plugged my little hand held OBD2 in and it showed I have a ‘Thermostatic heater control circuit open’ P0597. I took it to a local garage and he changed the engine thermostat and put antifreeze. I picked car up and something strange has happened as there is heat coming out of the Left hand side now (all vents on left) but nothing on the right hand side . Defiantly an improvement as there was not heat before they did the thermostat. Still not getting as hot as it should on the left and no heat on right. I am confused to what this could be and any advice /help would be amazing as I am at a loss . Did I just waste money on the thermostat?? As I don’t thing it was that ? . Sorry to post on here but I tried to find a contact and I wanted to ask you as I have watched all your videos post me buying my car ... I’m going to try the teak oil on weekend 👍. Many thanks

Tricky one that Darren. The first thing that gives up if you are short on coolant is the cabin heater as it is the highest point in the system - you have probably been a few pints short for a while. First on my list would be the heater valves, well, I hope so as working with the IHKA is a lot harder!

Hi Tim, currently my e63 has a orange/ yellow ring angel lights on the headlight. If I put on a led bulb would the light change into white or remain yellow ish? Would I need a conversion kit or just change the bulb for a white ring angel lights?

Hi Tim, I really appreciate these videos and find them extremely helpful. In Fact, I purchased some of your recommended bulbs for my 56 Plate BMW 630i Cab. Having said that I wonder if you could give me some advice please? My passenger side rear taillight is not working (when turn the lights on in position 1) The indicator and break lights work fine but the constant red (LED?) ones. Please help, as I have a MOT Test coming up on Tuesday.

Hello Meerwis, sorry to hear that - I have never had a problem with the rear lights - and the TIS does not show replacing the bulbs because it is solid-state LED (non replaceable) - have a look on KZread to see if anyone has had the same problem - sorry!

Hi, Timm, there was one set of lights that you missed in the video namely, the reversing lights. They are the most difficult to change as you have to remove the rear bumper to get to the bulbs.

No need for coding as long as you get the right LED unit - the one linked above is the same as mine and is a straight swap without coding.

Tim. Do you how to change the daytime lights to be the halos rather than the regular ones? 2006 650i. Great channel!

Unfortunately just to have the halos as drl is a facelift only feature, the drl on pre 07 uses the dipped beam too, only way to get around it is to just drive around with your side lights on or retrofit aftermarket angel rings

Tim, since you seem to be an expert. I went and looked at my 2008 BMW M6 Convertible to see where the halos were, as depicted in your video and I did not see them in that location. I'm interested in replacing my yellowish dim halos with a blue brighter bulb. Could you please guide me in the right direction for my vehicle? Appreciated!

I've did it but it won't go. It's looks like it want to swing out but still something is holding. I don't want to break it by pulling too rough. No videos on yt how to take it as well

It's PDC (Park Distance Control) and that will be one of the sensors failing. You need diagnostics to find out which one!

Thanks. I just did the parking lights, e.g. white “angel” lights. Would’ve been a nightmare finding them otherwise. Note. The passenger side (UK, on left hand drivers) is at a slight angle. This is important to know when reinserting.

You should have been supplied with a pair of converter leads that go between the car loom and the new halo units!

audi bulbs for there halos fit e64...just shave one pin off with file....15 bucks cnd for bulb

Fortunately a bit of spray from the paint correction I did on my Daughters car - but there are a few stone chips there as well - I'll try my normal method first - the paint method does look a bit scary!
