I live in South Korea and signed for 640i GT yesterday. I got a $13,000 discount on this car Cuz it will be discontinued soon. It's perfect as a family car. it has more space than a sedan and is more comfortable than an SUV.

how much will it cost to you?

I owned the pre-facelift for 4 years and it was a perfect car. You could do everything with it . We were on vacation for 9 days with 4 people and had to drive 890km. It was a relaxing trip to be honest.

This as a 640d would be THE perfect family car

I’ve owned 7 series and 5 series. 6GT and 5GT for that matter were the sweet spot for me. The space of a 5 touring with the luxury of a 7.

So sad there’s no demand for these cars anymore, it’s best of both sedan and SUV

It's more like something in between hatchback and wagon.

I bought this car as a new one in 2019, bordeaux red, full options and would do it again. I have driven 528, 530T, 540T, 535, 550GT, all gasoline This is my best car so far, aside my M140i! Finding a successor BMW model that suits me is currently hopeless.

Effortlessly cool and powerful.

A friend at BMW told me about BMW Operating System and how fast they make changes. He said "we just released OS 8 and are already at OS 8.5 now and OS 9 is coming soon". I was so happy to did the right car at the right time with OS 7.

I can't wait until the next time I hop in my ride and it's on OS13.7.5 and I got to wait for it to update before it will start, now I am going to be late for work for the 7th time because OS updates, oh wait now I'm fired and losing the car. 10/10 experience.

I own the 2018 640I GT model with M brakes. Its super comfortable, more than enough power and definitely unique. Thanks for the review!

I was working on some back in 2019 in Dingolfing, personally I kinda liked the look of this model, was more practical than the 7 series but offered the comfort. But unfortunatelly was discontinued last year.

I have this in a 630i G32 LCI variant and it is a beautiful car to drive. Long comfortable mile muncher. It has a huge huge huge boot that swallows everything plus the rear leg room is 7 series level. What's there not to love?

Whats funny is that Chinese market dont get B58 engine for LCI model. Only B48 avaliable for Lci G32.

this likely came out in 2020-2021 and sadly it isn't available anymore :(

Strange in uk you only can find models build up to 2020,at least 2020 is mid lci model with idrive 7 new speedo but old style front end.

These are indeed quite common in South Korea.

I got this car a month ago

i didnt even know there was still a 6 series

I owned a 2013 550GT - same concept but a little heavier and with the 4.4L. 7 series space and pretty near 7 series luxury. The usable cargo space was very large and extremly accessible. Mileage was not great but I didn't expect it to be. Loved that car. Purists thoiught it ugly AF but I loved its looks.

The pre-LCI version was available in US, the LCI not anymore.

Genuinely wasn't aware they were still making these..

I, at 49 years old, prefer the BMW 6 Gran Coupe much more. For me it is more refined, elegant and aerodynamic. If the Gran Coupe is also cheaper, with more reason, but I'm searching and I can't find a BMW 6 Gran Coupe for sale on the brand's official website. I'm probably wrong or confused.

If you are looking for a new one from factory, the 6-series gran coupe has been replaced with 8-series gran coupe.

This isn’t meant to be a A7 competitor, the 8 series is. The 5er/6er GT doesn’t really have a direct competitor.

@@mks1702 It's a fastback sedan. Same with "SUV Coupes", the more fitting term would be "fastback SUV". The 6 GT is essentially an "SUV coupe" without the lifted chassis. BMW also intended it to be somewhat of an alternative to an SUV, but people wanted those instead.

It is still sold in Asia. And for me is the perfect family car, so I thank them they did it.
