Ok, I'll start the discussion: your e34 has a mouth-watering appearance. Congrats. The underbody in particular. Consequently, you likely won't leave the garage as long as the roads aren't perfectly dry (as seen in your last video => winter break). I also had my e34 touring totally restored, but more recently. But never to the level of perfection as seen in yours. But I've got the same colour! Colour not that common after all, but a classy one, I find. And as an e34 connoisseur, I noticed the lack of correspondence between the plastic trim of your door handles and the handles themselves.😉 Because replacing the trim is easy, but replacing the handles makes no economic/technical sense. Hi, many thanks fpr your kind comment. It took a lot of work to get the vehicle into this condition. And especially with the underbody and subframes it was a very dirty task until I got it clean enough to repaint it. But I think you can understand how much work it was. Yes, until the repaint in 2017 - I was 11 mounth in total at the paint workshop with this car - it never touched salted roads again, and I drove it since then only 5-6 times in the (summer) rain. The somewhat wet road conditions seen in the video were already "stretching" it. I really like this colour essepecially paired with shadow line trim. But the connoisseur notices it straight away. :D Yes, I drew the line at the door handles, I didn't replace them, I just treated them with plastic care. There is also a scratch on the driver's door handle. But this is one of the few things that I "accept" in a car that is now almost 30 years old. But I thought about and did things like: For the repaint of the inside of the hood, I precisely discussed with the paint master with what pressure to apply the clear coat so that the newly painted inside of the hood came as close as possible to the factory condition. Although it is almost entirely covered by the hood insulation. And I painted the cable guides of the trunk lid wiring harness in fjordgrau, even though there are barly visible. :D Have a good trip and enjoy your journey, especially with your E34 :)

That is a beautiful work of machinery. I have the same year and model! Except I do not have the sunroof. Question - where do you find your parts. I like to do my own maintenance and repair. Thanks for showing.

Thanks for the kind comment and congrats to the beautiful car No double panoramic sunroof means less to maintain and keep clean. And one thing less that could break :D Even though I think it is a genius and really nice feature. For original Spare parts I often just visit a nearby BMW Dealer or order Online at Leebmann. They sometimes also offer good third party parts - so you can source MANN und Hummel Filters for instance. I buy engine oil through the meguin online shop. They also make everything for Liqui Moly in the same factory in Saarlouis. They sell many products cheaper under their own name. It just takes some time to compare the product data sheets until you find the equivalent Meguin Product. so you get e.g. good synthetic PAO based engine Oil or GL5 Diff. oil at a good price because they save on advertising. Suspension parts -> car-parts24.com I had a really pleasant phonecall with Stephan about shox and springs and he gave me really in depth first hand advice - since he also owns also an E34 and is not just selling parts. Have fun maintaining this beautiful car and of course have fun driving it.
