Thanks for the information. Hey you don't know of a place to get the auto dimming side mirror glass from? My right one has gone a bit funky. Not broken but like it's ink running down it.

I knew about everything but how to roll up the windows and the secret menu... thanks for that! On the valet fob, it's also so they can't open your trunk or glove box (if you lock it using the mechanical key in the real fob). I don't have the plastic key either for the valet fob. I bought my 2010 550i used and those punks must've kept it!

Where can I get them rims like you have for my 530i

You should change your side indications to the smoked swooping led ones along with getting led angle eyes. I have an e60 same year and colour as yours and they look good. I've also done my wing mirror covers in a gloss 7D carbon fibre and it blends in really well. Nice vid 🤙

Hi george . Am i going nuts ! My auxiliary setting /ccc /idrive screen is only alive for 5seconds or less. When i go to main ignition everything comes alive . I cant have radio on if im waiting cause it lasts 5seconds. I hope u can understand what im trying to explain. Thanks george jamie in NewZealand

Hi George, I've bmw e60 520d 2008, when I drive it for long time in a hot weather and I switch off the engine the car just won't start without showing any fault in the idrive or making any noise. I thought it was the relay located next to the battery when I touched it it feels hot so I replace it but the issue is still there 🤔 any idea what can cause this problem ? Any help is much appreciated and thanks. 👍

Easy starter is going bad, even if it tests as good at auto parts store it still is going bad replace it and watch it work after running it and turning it off I had the same problem

@@_JayR-eb1zd Not a starter issue if he says its only in hit weather... if it's starts in cold the starters fine.

In the secret menu I was messing with it trying to turn my brakes sensor off and I don't know what I did but my phone won't connect to my phone and my Bluetooth won't connect anymore can you tell me what I done in the secret menu to do this

Do I have to "go ahead" before performing any if these actions? Or can they be done without "going ahead"? And do I need to "go ahead" before I "go ahead"? I think I'm gonna go ahead and stop going ahead before I go ahead , Its hurting my head.

Has anyone gotten a “key fob not detected” message, and the door locks making a funny clicking noise? Mines has been doing it for a week now, on and off. 2015 528i

What about the lesser known winter warm up feature or summer cool down...(semi keyless go) if you put the key in the ignition and start the car, then turn the car off, take the key out then put foot on clutch and press start the car will start and run. Then you can get out lock the doors and let the car heat up in winter... or cool in the summer while you grab some bits from the house. :)

If you have comfort access, you can just start the car and get out; no need to put the key in at all.

hi george great video i see that you have the speed on the digital section of the clock how is that done and can the rest of the info on the lcd be toggled through like the mpg and so on with out having to reset the speed every time that something is used in the lcd thanks james

Do you have NCS Expert? It's something you can code and enable. I did this to my 6 series, same process.

Is there any way to stop the air coming on automatically every time you start the car? Can't see anything in the idrive, and I've read that it's a "normal" feature on these cars? I find it very annoying.

@@jamiestanley8774 i do but the air just comes back on. If I start the car again after just a short time, it stays off, but if its been locked for a while, it just comes back on. I've just got used to turning it off as the first "job" when starting the car now to be honest.

I dont think most people understand how hard it is to maintain the 550 or 545.. those N62s are not for the faint of hearts. This car truly loves your wallet..lol. and is mechanicaly stressful..but that does not mean this car is unreliable let me tell you. Its the most reliable BMW ive owned. Out of all my 3 series..its just such a big motor crammed into a car meant for a 6 cylinder..so if your thinking about buying one. Understand this car will OWN you. And if you dont listen. She will burn your house down. That meaning. You cant just throw cheap parts on it. And go over oil or coolant changes..they know..believe me this car knows. If you buy one. Here is a list of things to do asap or make sure has been done 1.Valley pan/coolant pipe. 2.Radiator hoses 3.transmission filter and mechatronic sleeve with new trans seals and fluids. 4. Water pump/Thermostat 5.vaccum pump gasket "common oil leak" 6.altenator bracket seal between the motor mount "common leak" 7. Active sway bar "buy a used one for replacement" unless you wanna spend 2100 8. New bushings and control arm replenish upper and lower. 9.knock sensors 10. Have a beer and enjoy the 550. She will get you alot of attention. And alot of looks Any 545i or 550 owner knows these stories, and we share the joy of pain and love..lol😂

nevermind ! I found that they disabled rolling up the windows with the key fob on all N.A. models to fit in U.S. regulations

You said you were trying to roll up windows with the unlock button. It's actually the lock button you need to hold down for the windows to go back up.

I got 59 reg e60 What I like in winter times is turning the engine on then taking the key out and press start again within 10 sec and engine will start without key and you clock the car and go home till car is warm
