Hi
This BMW came to me due to a few issues on the braking system... ABS light on, DSC light on, etc...
In the end one fault causing some others...
A quick scan revealed a few codes, but the 5DD0 caught my attention...
Can we fix it?
Follow me on this video to find out what was the problem and how to resolve it.
Hope you enjoy the video.

Un grand merci, j'ai un problème similaire sur une 206 avec un abs MK70 et problème de charbon. Ce n'est pas le même Abs mais j'ai une très bonne information pour sertir le moteur en place de nouveau. Merci encore !!

I'm not saying this applies here; but for me, the first step I always take with DSC/ABS issues on a BMW, and one that probably needs to be done anyways, is to bleed the brakes. The DSC system in these cars need decent fluid to work; old fluid will compress too much and the pump won't build pressure during its BIT. Takes 20 mins and has remedied more than half the DSC faults I've come across. Unfortunately, changing the pump requires the brakes to be bled.. which usually gets enough new fluid into the system to solve the real issue. Just my two cents for those watching that don't have a scan tool! Cheers.

Hi Luis, Excellent work yet again on both diagnosing and resolving a tricky ABS\DSC issue. Does the work you carry qout cost significantly less than replacing the item? Furthermore most organisations offer a lifetime warranty on electrical refurbed components. On a personal note thank you for all the effort and enthusiam in posting your weekly channel throughout the year and may I wish and your family continued good health, success and happiness for 2024 🎉

Hi Depends on what you replace it with... With a used unit, probably... but again you would be gambling on an unknown part condition... I don't believe anyone could offer lifetime warranty on an item like this, which clearly has the brushes that will eventually wear out... What they count on, is that the car either changes owner or is scrapped before any warranty claim is made... Just my opinion...☺️ Marry Christmas and Happy New Year 👍👍👍👍

When you install the bearing, it must be at the correct position/level. Use a C clamp and socket to press it on. It should be 11.9 mm below the end of the spindle.

My car i had damp fail the stop light switch which then blew the ABS unit. Bought second hand and replaced with same part number, no coding, it worked. But i lost the tpms. To see if pump works run the priming bleed routine. Obd said the pressure valve failed.

You are not afraid that when you are repairing the abs module and an accident happens and some technician discovers that the abs module was tampered with - even if the obvious cause of the accident was not the brakes, you have courage...
