Hi. I have a 1 series 120D. Some times SS is working, sometimes not. Also keyless entry / go doesn't work. Could this be because of low battery ( or battery about to die)? Or could they be disabled with some coding tool? I own the car for a month now. I don't know if it was ok before. Thank you

Hi, this function does not work on my 2010 e91 , after reading the comments I guess one problem could be the battery, if so would it also prevent the welcome lights from working too , I have them activated but they don't come on when I unlock with the fob, one more thing regarding stop/start , if it's not a battery issue is there a fuse that could of blown or been removed and if so can you or anyone else point me to which one and the location of it, I'd appreciate any help . Thanks

This can be coded with suitable diagnostic equipment.

Mine doesn't work at all whether the switch is on or off. Must be a fault.

Most probably the battery will need to be replaced. But of course, before replacing check for any other problems.

@@MtlCarGarage no issues with anything else on the car at all. Proper looked after by a bmw addict. I've just bought it. Do you think it might of been coded not to work on purpose because I've read it upsets people when it's on and they want to shut it off.

@@danielwoolcock7267 It is hard to comment specific situations, so best would be that a mechanic check your vehicle. But usuallly (if there are no other problems) the battery is dying if SS does not stop the engine.

hi dan, i thought that with my 1 series, but mine works sometimes, as the engine will need to proberly recharge the battery or something it wont go on but it will only go on if the system detect the engine is to hot !

i hate start stop

Weiss einer wass dieses a off Bedeutet???

Mit diesem Button kann man die Start- Stopautomatik deaktivieren. Somit geht das Auto an der Ampel nicht mehr aus, wenn du den Gang heraus nimmst und die Kupplung los lässt. Man muss ihn bei jedem Fahrtantritt wieder drücken. Sobald man sein Auto abstellt und aus macht ist die Start- Stopautomatik nämlich wieder aktiv.
