It's also because - as Misha has told before - every on-track video has to be approved by thé Nürburgring, and they don't like them crashes going viral on KZread because of image reasons.

Bloody love this car and Carlo is a proper gent and petrolhead. Its great that this car is now a ring tool at 40 plus years old and still making people happy. Thanks for posting Misha. All the best from Bonnie Scotland✌

The 02Licious is amazing, looks and sounds beautiful. Carlo seems like a great guy, great sense of humour like yourself and very dedicated with his broken toes!! Thanks to you both for taking us on this amazing lap. Was funny when he told you about the tyres and then the door opening at 200kph, brilliant.

You have not lived until you experience brake fade 3 or 4 corners in, what an awesome classic. Scary thought is I still have a faceplate for that stereo unit

Make Analog Great Again 2002...love these older cars with special upgrades but retaining OLD SCHOOL charm.

Same experience since the time I was a kid: the single headlights are more authentic for the BMW 02-series, but on the other side it is the 02`s history, that it has always been used as the basis for an endless variety of individual modifications and track conversions.

So beatifull......congratulations........ I have a bmw 2002 with a pair of weber 40 and a schrick cam 292 and 5 spees gearbox....i just love it.......... Yours is a masterpiece......congratulations!

So enjoyable 100%, awesome to see the 600lt rip around the track yes but see this gem classic doing what it was built for brings a smile to my face thank you both for sharing

Simple upgrade for a 2002tii's brakes is vented rotors from a e21 320i or 323i with e12 5 series calipers and the 250mm drums from a 320i. All direct bolt on. I had a North American spec '72 tii as my first car I ever bought. I installed a Zender body kit (not the one in the video), Bilstein sport shocks, Korman springs, Quickor Engineering anti-roll bars, and the above brake upgrade. I used it as my daily driver from '83 until around 2001. I had the chrome belt line trim removed at the same time I had the Zender kit installed in around '90. A lot of fun but it unfortunately developed a case of terminal rust.

My father had 2002 with somekind of race engine in it (when I was really young) and back then at the 70´s Finland did not have any speed limits... that engine revved up to 12000 rpm... I believe that was kinda fast car. He sold it so he wouldn´t left my mother as a widow with two little kids :D But yes... this car was great too... really awesome they are being properly used at the track :p

Those recaros had adjustable supports with airbags in them. You could pump them up to your desired comfort.

Amazing Oldie and i would absolutely love to go on a lap with him on the Ring. But to be honest, i would feel safer if he had newer tires. Not sure about the 30 Year old Rubber on a Racetrack.

Nice 02. You can install e21 323i disk brakes on it. Ventilator 4pot in front and solide disks 2pot in the rear.

30 year old tires, non ventilated front brakes, rear drums and driver is wearing an Evil Kenevil helmet. Yup. I’d be shitting my pants 😂

I like his attitude, his knowledge and his humor :D One of the features i like on older cars is the Ausstellfenster, like it´s called in Germany, in the front. Our 1990 cherryred Lada Niva had it and it was amazing, better than any climate control :) Btw Misha has anything nasty come out of you while driving in this red beauty? :P

The injection is fantastic will last. The reason the injection was not working in this case was the control box. a 70's computer module!!. I took it to an electronics geneous lady that worked at matrox. She did some magic on it at the matrox laborotory replaced some transitors etc. Then it worked perfectly.. Yea she is probably retired now. Omg!!!

So you didn't have the original Kugelfischer injection system since that is purely mechanical. No electronic control box at all.

The seat look like the one my dad uses to have,it’s air coussin recaro the up down button is inflated and the tree blues selection of the areas or deflate ,but I’m not sure 100%
