Thank you! After years of fixing reel to reel, 8 track, cassette, film...I was wondering about these cartridges till today when I jammed mine with an brand new cartridge and the film broke....of course on my last cartridge trying to finish a panel. Back to work!

Just saying thanks for the video had a cartridge I bought six months ago finally had to install it and it tore first try thanks to your video I was able to repair it and continue job.

I was about to toss the cartridge in the trash but saved it thanks to this video.

This happened to me twice. Both times the cartridge was left to sit in humid conditions. I feel that had something to do with it. This happens a bit more frequently to my friend who leaves them in his car... Which is why I made this video. Glad you appreciate my struggle with the camera angle!

Great video....but.....you've put the ribbon in the wrong way round. if you look at a new cassette, certainly on an M21-750-499 Nylon Cloth tape, the matt side faces out. I don't know how it works but it does.

@@IllInformedHuman The very first print, my ribbon jammed and I corrected as you showed here. Then I found that the battery wouldn't charge via the body AC port, but I had to remove the batt and plug IT in! When I printed that first "9" I was done. :) Gonna check out the P-Touch E550. Thanks for the vids though! Very helpful!
