Nah bluey is the worst cartoon in the existence of the world.

I 1000% agree to it being the best tv show of all time. This show is something my husband, my 8 year old, my 11 year old, my 4 month old (kind of), and myself watch together and on our own. I have rewatched episodes so many times and they have yet to lose their “magic”❤️

I don't think Bluey will ever lose its magic. This show will stand the rest of time and go.down in history as a true masterpiece. I only just started watching it recently, an I love it. As someone who enjoys shows more geared towards adults, such as Helluva Boss and Rick and Morty, I can appreciate a good, clean show that families can watch together without the parents being like, "wait, did they just hide that in the show?" and having to explain something awkward to their children. Like, I get it, they're gonna grow up and become adults too, but we need to let them have their childhood innocence while they still can, cause soon enough they'll be teenagers and hormones will kick in, boys and girls will view each other more differently as their minds change. Unfortunately I feel like life pushed me into adulthood way too soon, and maybe that's partly why I still enjoy a show like Bluey, because it's a reminder of the good old days when innocence was innocence, and things like wanting to have sex with a woman wasn't something I wanted to do right away

I think what makes Bluey so relatable is that the characters are as realistic as you can possibly get. Aside from the fact that they're on a kids show so they can't cuss or anything like that, they speak like normal people would, even when talking to and about their family. While I'm here, I guess I will mention what is currently my favorite episode: Fairytale. I just love everything about this. Getting to see Bandit and his brothers as adorable kids, all the 80's nostalgia, seeing how Bandit and Chilli (possibly) met, and a great lesson about doing the right thing not for a reward, but simply because it is the right thing to do. And I love how happy he is to tell a story where he is essentially the badguy. lol

Ya after seeing fairytale those 3 brothers have become my all time favorite trio of brothers ever! I also like to look at it like Bandit hadn’t always been that way before and he picked up that bad habit by trying to fit in with the wrong crowd. I strongly hope they make more flashback episodes of the Heeler brothers as kids cuz they’re just so awesome!

Bluey is a hard-hitting drama where no subject is taboo. It hits you time and again in the gut with real life. And it does it in a way where you will smile the whole time. And then bawl your eyes out with a well-placed and well-earned movement of emotion. This series is healing people. It talks about traumas and mental disorders in a way that makes them a human thing, not a victim thing. It is taking the pain that we are never allowed to talk about and giving a voice and hope to it. It has shown how powerful love really is.

Your words are so right on. When I first started watching this show I could barely stand it without tearing up because the girls would laugh and scream with such glee. But as I watched on and related to the characters, I slowly felt better about my own childhood. Especially from relating to Bingo the most, despite being sensitive she was still given the time and space to fully express herself. And her feelings mattered just as much and were validated by her parents every time. It's something I didn't quite have growing up... By the end of my binge, I couldn't help but smile while watching the girls have fun rather than tearing up.

Which makes especially ironic that Disney would censor any part of the original episodes, such as leaving out Bingo innocently asking Bandit how a baby gets in a woman's belly (which he doesn't even answer), or the parents briefly expressing concern for their physical health and fitness. These are just normal life things that kids will experience in one way or another. They've got to take the good with the bad, as the Heeler parents themselves have said.

Daddy Drop Off was the one for me and for my sister it was Camping. I found this show while nannying and after my sister and I watched a scary movie, I suggested we decompress with a few episodes of Bluey and we ended up binging the first two seasons. It really is just a pleasant, heart-warming show. It's a "comfort food" kind of show, but the best kind because it's not just nostalgic, it challenges its audience to think about life, not just for kids, but adults too, and I'm almost always aware of a new way in which I can try to be a better person after just one of the 10 minute episodes.

"The Creek" is my nostalgic episode. Totally takes me back to childhood when me, my brother, and our friends would play in our neighborhood woods with a creek flowing through them.

My absolute favourite episode of Bluey has to be Promises. I remember it was the first episode that made me cry- as a soon 19 year old woman whose father was there in my formative years but not really involved in the fun we've had- that I promise I will always love you opened up and healed something in me. That despite whatever silly thing I'd make my dad do he'll always love me- I can't be sure if this is something my dad would be like- but I'm sure this is the kind of dad I needed and need. And I got reliefed that I know what I'm looking for in a father figure if I come across it in my life

This was such a lovely essay. Your take on “Born Yesterday” is emblematic of what I love about the show. (And tying it to that wonderful quote from John Green!) Bookending the video with “Flat Pack,” one of the show’s most “adult” episodes in its thematic complexity and use of metaphor, was just perfect. Bluey may or may not be the best show on TV, but between the level of craft on display in its visual design, music, and voice acting, its capacity to simultaneously entertain kids and parents alike without solely resorting to “lol adult joke” wink-and-nods, and the care that clearly goes into its nuanced and empathetic writing… it is, at the very least, a unique and wonderful thing.

Yes! Cheese and crackers, Bluey is great!

I don't have kids, but I do have younger siblings, so I've seen my fair share of shows for younger audiences. But Bluey definitely is a treasure amongst all of them. Sleepytime was very influential for me. I've hit a rough patch with my mom lately since I have moved out on my own. The episode gave me the exact feeling of relying on your mother and starting to become independent and separate from your parents, but also remembering that even during tough times my mom still loves me. Brings me to tears everytime I watch it.

I'm sure, Bluey is definitely a masterpiece. It's a really nice TV show, which is fun for both adults and kids as well. It's relatable for parents and exciting for children! Graphics are really pleasant to the eye, especially during close-up scenes. Music was picked wisely, too. And of course, it manages to teach both generations something new! I really hope to see more of this cartoon.

I've worked as a Nanny for most of my adult life. In 2020 the family I work for had their second baby during the lock down and I got to discover Bluey while watching the baby in the nursery while her sister was doing online school in the other room. I'm a crier as it is and it was a very emotional time, oooh did that show make me cry! It still does, but especially during that first viewing. I've taken care of babies & toddlers ect. since I was 12 (mostly family; Baby brother, niece, nephews) so I've seen a LOT of kids shows with kids and for my own fun, Bluey is a delightful series that speaks to many parts of my personality and experiences in a way that I love. Easily the best kid's series in the history of kids media. Having started writing at age 8 I've always had a preference for kid power fantasies and stories that treat child characters with dignity not as plot points and props, and even though I generally dislike animorphic character shows Bluey manages to be very endearing with it's characters and world building.

The best thing about Bluey is that it's enjoyable for the whole family (unlike many shows), my favourite part is that it shows how to be a loving parent. :)

Fun Fact: Disney+ forgot to put bluey in Disney Channel and it’s actually a family show because in the episode Army, Jack said he has ADHD (I think I spell it wrong) and made Grownups,teenagers,kids,and babies.

I’m 19, and I decided to finally watch the show after a few months of hearing basically nothing but praise about the show. And now that I have seen only a few episodes, I think that everyone was right that it’s a great show. I will admit, though, it made me a little emotional. Wanting to remember the old days of when I was a kid. I can’t remember too much from when I was that young. Heck, I actually barely have memories from when I was about seven years old. But I can just imagine how much fun it would be if I was a kid and lives in a world and family like that- Also, the episode keepie uppie was pretty fun. Especially because, my family and I play that game all the time. With all the birthdays that we have so close to one another, we often play the game. Only, we called it “bop the balloon”. But god I’ve grown to love this adorable show

I am literally a teenager, and I binged this myself. It so fresh, so realistic, and so wholesome to an extent that is hard to find anywhere in media. Why? Because it's hard to do! It takes work! It takes passion! Thankfully, the creators of Bluey are like that.

Agreed. Although my older family members haven’t got to it (yet) me (who is 12), my 9 year old sister, my 8 year old sister, and my 1 year old sister all love this show. And although they’re still young, my 9 year old sister doesn’t even like Disney Jr., she’s more into Stranger Things and stuff but yet she loves this show! She’s the one who showed me it on June 2021.

I remembered back in december 2020 what the heck bluey was, and I thought it looked kind of weird when I went to watch an episode for a few seconds (the episode was early baby I believed). And now I'm here watching almost every episode of it on cable and disney plus just loving it. It really is a cute show

It's just nice to see a show about a family that actually loves each other and a world where every problem isn't answered by looking at the camera and saying 'You're an idiot for caring.'

My baby sister loves this show, along with paw patrol. I watched some of it and was like "this show is actually great, it's funny and entertaining. It's kind of just nostalgic to either being a kid, or being an parent. It's just normal and based on a lot of real-life experiences. And "Sleep Time" is one of the best. Mickey Mouse didn't deserve as many seasons (12 or more I think) as it has gotten, but this show certainly deserves many more.

Im 63, my parent, Mum 83 and Dad 85, watch this show every day. We love it. You laugh out loud, you cry and you rejoice in the wonder of it all. Long may it run.

"It's just great TV" ah yes.. the Bluey TVs

As a 21 year old who has no children and never will (I like kids! Parenting's just not for me.) I think the thing I love most about Bluey is that it kinda gives me hope, in a way. I noticed watching some scenes where the kids were just, y'know, being kids, being annoying, messing up, etc. that I'd feel nervous about how the parents would react, even though I knew that nothing bad was going to happen. It's gone away as I've watched more episodes and realized that so many parents watching this show are probably going to walk away with new ideas for how they can handle conflict. You can probably guess from what I've said that mine weren't great there. They're not bad people, far from it, but the way they chose to navigate challenging situations with me as a child and how they managed their own emotions and mental health issues left a lot of damage- I've been diagnosed with C-PTSD along with other things I won't get into. But again, they're not bad people, and while there's no *excuse* for how they've treated me and each other at some points, I think they just never really had any good resources to help them be better. Maybe they didn't know they could be better. The thought of this show reaching even one parent like that and making a difference in how they approach their own/their kids' feelings makes me very happy. Any parents who have been watching Bluey and going "Wow, I want to be like that" or "Huh, maybe I could try going about things (x) way next time" or anything along those lines, thank you. You're doing a great job.

i agree, bluey is like no any ordinary show, like there are so many relatable things and moments, from its appealing artstyle, clever writing, and its music as well. and you know its a great kids show when adults and teenagers watches it. i love bluey so much, she's basically like me when i was her age.

I had come across Bluey while scrolling through Disney+ a few times when I was 20 but it hadn’t caught my attention cuz I could tell it was a kids show and I wasn’t looking into any of that. But then after I turned 21 in July 2022 I joined my gym that has a daycare I can see into behind the front desk where I check in and they would turn Bluey on for the kids all the time. First glance I thought the animation and character design looked so amazing and after days of going and getting a bunch of glances, I decide to watch it myself and man it’s the best thing I ever discovered. It makes me wish that I had discovered it when it first started airing on Disney+ in January 2020 in my senior year when covid was about to hit and it would’ve really helped me get through that boring era. I really hope this series goes for as long as possible and I truly aspire to be the best dad and husband like Bandit once it all happens. I also hope my future family will love this show as much as I do. That way it’ll help us all connect and be the best we can be.

The clip you played from Sleepytime has a beautiful and tragic double meaning. Whilst it's the Sun (Chilli) talking to Bingo - she's standing on Mercury at the time. It has been confirmed that Chilli has had a miscarriage and in Sleepytime Bingo hatches out of the 3rd Planet from the Sun and it appears Bluey hatched from the 2nd but the 1st planet didn't hatch. If Mercury represents the lost baby then Chilli's words take on a heartbreaking double meaning as they apply not just to Bingo but to Mercury too. "Remember I'll always be here for you even if you cant see me ... because I love you" Oh and everyone should watch "Cricket" too because that episode is in every way a work of art.

im 22 and i simply adore bluey. im aussie, and the vast majority of our tv shows, especially for kids, is imported, usually from the uk or usa. i didnt realise how disconnected i actually was from a lot of these shows, where people talk different and was filled with unfamiliar things. you spend a lot of time "catching up" or trying to guess things when everything was made for a different audience. but watching bluey, it really struck me how familiar everything was in a way i wasnt used to. people were speaking how i spoke, and all the characters felt like people id actually met. especially the episode tradies, i cant tell you how many late teen early twenties boys ive known who are exactly like the young tradie, right down to the haircut. it fills a hole i didnt know i had, and i sincerely hope that it brings a new wave of locally made media

Bluey is phenomenal, a rare piece of media that is for 'the whole family' in the truest sense. This is in stark contrast to almost every other supposed family-friendly content produced in the past decade. More than that though its a rare project where every single person working on it, from the writers, artists, VAs, director - literally everyone, seemingly got together and went, "Shall we all just turn in career best performances on this?" and they did. The writing is outstanding, every script is so tight - there are consistently more laugh out loud jokes, more character development, and more moving emotional moments in any given 7-minute episode than there are in most feature length films. The art direction and music composition are so beautiful and seamlessly integrated with the script to deliver poignant and joyful 'feels' almost every episode. And the VA work is exceptional - genuinely top draw comic timing with tonnes of nuance and emotion in the delivery of lines. It consistently reminds me of the film Paddington 2 with which it shares all of the above qualities - I think its easily one of the greatest films of all time, just as Bluey is one of the greatest TV series of all time.

Bluey works because it epitomises the message of feeling at home; the place where you find yourself away from the pressures of outside expectations, both in how it was conceptualized and how it was executed. It also highlights how a character is better understood in concept as it goes along in a film or series production due to its solid foundation. SpongeBob Squarepants is the best counter to this as a successful TV series; it worked because its creator visualised its core characters and they became the central point around which everything happened in that series. In SpongeBob the message presented was to embrace who you are despite restraints. I have a project in the works and the message I'm presenting with it is a counter to both; no matter how you stand on one hand or how the status quo sees you on the other, someone in the world will bridge the gap. It relates to 'Thomas & Friends' by the way, and aims to celebrate what made the franchise a success to begin with while celebrating something new, and encompasses everything I picked up in the course of my thirty years of living life thus far. I’m still going through them with my daughter but ‘Cricket’ is my favourite episode. Most young children would struggle with the concept of what a flashback is but the creators of Bluey aren’t afraid of teaching the viewer something new.

Neither. It's a dogs show that human kids and parents also like.

While its amazing , its not catered toward specifically girls or boys. Neither are any of the kids shows you listed. I wouldn't say its anti paw patrol either. Its just other little kids shows but without being patronizing towards them. And makes the adults realistic.

Bluey has taken NCIS’s place as my favorite show ever. Bluey, NCIS, and South Park.

It is right up there in the pantheons of the BEST TELEVISION EVER MADE. Nearly every episode brings a tear, and all bring a very profound lesson.i am a Brit, an old male Brit, I rank the BBC as one of our most important creations, and over the years I have been educated and informed to such a degree that I am wiser for it…… but Bluey stunned me! When I first watched “the sign” I missed much of the episode consumed by fear that this was a final episode and there would be no more (safe to say I’ve seen it again, and again) this program will be talked about for decades to come. And I have more hope than I used to, that the coming generations may live up to my ancestors standards. Bravo Australia, bravo.🫡

Hahaha I do too! My kids loved Paw Patrol. In the video, I meant "anti-Paw Patrol" not in the sense that Bluey is good and Paw Patrol is bad, but in that Bluey tells very ordinary, down-to-earth stories whereas Paw Patrol is bombastic and over-the-top by comparison.

Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the struggles in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans . The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. He will help us through the struggle, the stress, and anything we experience in the world. It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves, we need Him to help us as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way. NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. Regardless of what you've done or what you're going through you CAN make it through Jesus. I mean you are just describing a fairly standard slice of life family anime. Shows like these were and are still popular in Japan and other countries like France, so I'm not sure what makes this show so unique to you.

You see.... mainly the fact that 1. Bluey, is in fact, NOT an anime, and 2. The insane quality this show has, and the insane enjoyability this show has for adults even though it's a pre-school show.

Nah it's overhyped it's good but not that excellent its killing other shows

I understand where you're coming from. I think if we had more shows like this, it wouldn't stand out like it does to people. I think it's refreshing to see, after so many cynical shows.

Probably the reason why people treat the show as such is because... well, we don't really get much children's media as nuanced as this. Typically parents, especially ones with no access to cables or streaming services, would occupy their children with the worst option ever for some reason, that being ElsaGate content. Now that we actually get a preschool cartoon with love and care put into it, people are bound to treat it like it's a godsend because it's an odd one out among a sea of terrible children's shows.

That being said, anybody can dislike the show if that's how they feel about it. I guess so long it has a valid reason, and not just jumping some sort of bandwagon or hating it just because.
