How long would the AC 70 power a starlink unit?
@HOBOTECH

Starlink uses about 45w/hr so do the math.
Last night my neighborhood experienced a five hour blackout, due to a freeway accident. My Bluetti EB3A was able to keep my full size fridge running, while my Allwei 300W kept the living room lights and the stereo going for about 4 of those hours. If the blackout had lasted all night, the prospect of replacing hundred of dollars in frozen food would have become real. Thank you, Prof. Hobo for selling me on these products. It's hard to truly understand the value of these So-Gens until you're in the dark. I think I need an AC70.
Huge Win! You're the only reviewer that covered all the things I care about! UPS + Solar Charging + DC + Simultaneous This information is so hard to actually find on these products. At this point Bluetti is the only Power Generator device like this that is checking all my boxes! Thank you for the review that covers the important aspects of a device like this!
Just be sure to test your Bluetti products thoroughly when you buy them. I didn't test my early run EB70 and it had the issue where it would die at 65% battery. I discovered the issue a month after the two year warranty expired because it sat on my shelf for emergency use for the entire time I owned it and they refused to cover it. I eventually paid them to fix it because that was still cheaper than buying a new unit but not super happy they made me pay for a known problem on those units.

Nice, Bluetti is really hitting on all cylinders. It’s amazing how much better things have gotten in the last 3 years.
That's my hero Professor HOBOTECH. Best review on the entry level power units. That was great!
Thanks for providing awesome power station reviews
We use these ourselves when we go offgrid. We go away for weeks at a time and they work really well.
I am one of those cheap B*stards so I thank you for this review. I do DIY for all my solar on my RV but was always looking for a simple, lightweight unit I could bring along. The AC2A fits that niche. Thanks for the excellent reviews (as always). I used your discount code and am now awaiting my unit.
Every day so much improvement. 😊 I think you are indeed making the manufacturer aware of the issue and users friendly systems 😊 thank you 😊
Another amazing product review and guide! This is my third solar generator. Love It
I love your knowledge and delivery brother. You’re my “go to” guy for everything solar generator related 😎🔥
You are awesome, hilarious and informative. Thank you so much, you and Bob Wells finally pushed me over to buy Bluetti today after considering Bluetti for over a year, and other systems over 5 years! I did get AC180, but I nearly got this one, and I learned so much from you. Cheers.
I just ordered the AC70!! Thanks for the discount and for all your hard work. My Jackery 500 crapped out twice in 3 1/2 years. hope this one lasts. Thanks!!!!
we just ordered another one. Thanks for the research and the discount.
Outstanding presentation Mr. Hobotech.
Excellent as always. Thanks!
Nice. Great job as always! Much appreciated 👍🏼
Thanks for your excellent reviews!
Love seeing a lower priced one as it easily makes a purchase to use for UPS very likely. I need a new UPS for my main server that can push 500w on heavy load (rare) and a standard UPS is $200 so $300 more for a full backup that can handle the server and other items (router/modem/switch) totally worth it.
Thanks! It's kind of putting the cart before the horse, but I am watching the video after purchasing the unit. That is only before watching quite a number of your videos to find the right one. I have a very good impression of Bluetti because of their MaxOak laptop charger that served me many many many many many many many many years getting drained most of the way down on a daily basis. I am really pleased with this purchase and the fact that the AC2A seems to have some smart capabilities.
Thank you I used your link to order the AC2A so it could live in my car. Years ago I purchased a Jackery 1000 it lives at my apartment very good for emergency backup power. The AC2A will be used as such also to run my laptop or phone in an emergency. Not yet a Nomad where I would need something bigger for full time use. I enjoy your channel, I’m subscribed and gave it a thumbs up. 👍🏽
Thank you. Great reviews
Another great review Prof!
Excellent and informative review. Well done.
Nice review. Ive been considering adding the AC70 to the collection.
I love the WiFi connection and other app features on my River 2 Pro, but I do like the output-only USB C ports that Bluetti uses, makes it a lot easier to charge smaller batteries that have USB in/outputs. The EB3A works well for me, particularly because my solar panels I have from Goal Zero work well with it!
Bought the Ac2a. Thanks for the code. 🙂✌️
Just sent back my EB3A and ordered the AC70.

Better run a best on that AC70 - known issues even on the ones they are selling now. Just spent the better part of week dealing with them on it. Hopefully you got one that wasn't impacted, but all I will say is that they weren't able to provide me a replacement because the issue is present in the most recent run. You will need a receptacle tester and have the unit plugged into grid power to see the issue if present.

GOOD MORNING ELLIOTT, have a great day everyone
When I first got my EB3A , I was changing it on solar converted to inverter to AC . Great when the power company had brown outs.
I really want to see five runs of UPS transfer time on an oscilloscope. Some power supplies are more forgiving than others. Would be grateful if you'd publish them. Really love how it has a clean inverter too, that's a very good sign that it might be a good UPS.

I just checked the ac60 and it does have 6 years warranty but lesser cappacity and inverter than the ac70 and yes its expandable.
honestly not all Bluetti refurbished products were broken. When you send the ones they send you back are they broken? Do you think they throw it in the trash? My guess is they refurbish the products that you used and most likely never broke. I purchase their refurbished products at super steep discounts and have had no complaints at all. Don't break bluettis before you send them back and we should keep getting great deals on non pre-broken bluetti products...
@HOBOTECH
8 ай бұрын
They won't accept a return unless it is broken. Then those sit on a shelf forever until they get around to it which damages the batteries. They fix what is wrong then replace the case to make it look new. They don't replace the batteries!
You got me on the Quad battery test so used to saying double fisted with you thought i had it this time you got me lol...
Thanks for the timely review. Any thoughts on why Qi chargers have disappeared on many newer offerings across multiple vendors? Seems like the flat top panels on top cry out for something like that.
Agree to many models
As a weekend warrior, I love the Dr. Prepare 100AH lifepo4 battery with Hub that you introduce to your Channel. Mainly because I can buy two DR. Prepare batteries and stay out up to six days vs. One bluetti at any capacity.
One thing you forgot was the solar over voltage that drops back down to solar voltage range. Does the solar charging resume automatically or do you have to manually reset it?
Through the app can you turn off the display while using the sg?
My NEW AC70 Is being DELIVERED FEDEX TODAY 😚👍😉👍
How does the AC70 stacks up to the River 2pro?
Will these units auto restart charging with the solar panels plugged in overnight without having to unplug and then plug them in? A few units will such as the Pecron.
Great review. I do want to add that there appears to be a misconception that the device prioritizes solar over grid when dual charging. In my testing, the device stops prioritizing solar once it hits 100% charge. I bought my unit so that it would trickle charge off solar during the day and then charge from the grid at night. Unfortunately, it stops charging off solar once it hits 100%. All the reviewers I have seen so far incorrectly state it prioritizes the solar while dual charging when their device isn’t fully charged. I wish Bluetti would add a PV prioritization to the AC70 and AC180 models. I believe full PV prioritization is only available on the 200, 300, 500 models.
Im looking for something to charge up my 24v powertool batteries. Anyone have suggestions on what the best sogen option is?
Are you still going to do a video of mounting the Yuma CIGS onto the roof? Thanks for today's review!
According to Bluetti's website and the manual, the AC2A does not come with the car charging cable. It is listed as an optional accessory.
I want to run a fan for work that draws about 1300 watts. When you hit 1500 watts without power lifting will the AC70 sustain that for 5 mins or so?
Was looking to get this ac70 but can't find it in mexico, there's some other models of bluetti or ecoflow river I think it's called that but they selling twice as much, only thing decent is vtoman but the recharging Is so slow on them 😢 I will have to keep looking , great video excellent 💯👍
Can you do a 12v cigarette out put test and see if it and handle my diesel heater that starts up at 141w then down to 8-9w constant run
Bang, bang, bang, bang. Cheers
@HOBOTECH does the AC70 accept 16v from the DC input from a Tesla power socket?
As a camper, how do these go powering single plate induction stoves?
Thanks for remembering the little guys like us hobo tech even though your becoming more and more successful your still remembering us yes your 100% right recession is basically upon us 👍
Might buy the smaller one for my car to charge my work batteries with solar
Slowly getting to where I need to be. Strip down model like this at 1500W around this price point I'd be gtg!
Really wish Bluetti would update the app for more granular charging options. I’m not a fan of the high charge rate of the ac180 (can’t remember if you said what the watt rate was for standard on the ac70). I would like to set it somewhere between silent and standard.
I want the Ecoflow Pro so bad. Ugh. Over 2 grand. Do you know what deals they are having for Black Friday? Thanks.
So the ac2a 300w is basically the new eb3a 600w or the eb3a 600w still the better option for your $?
The AC2A looks like a potentially good alternative to a traditional lead acid UPS for small electronics like laptops, modems and routers.
I'd be curious about your thoughts head-to-head between the Ecoflow River 2 and the AC2A. It's clear that Bluetti is seeing the AC2A as a competitor to the River 2 based on the price point. I know the River 2 has more battery capacity but is more limited with the solar input (200w for the AC2A vs 110w for the River 2). Plus, as you mentioned, the bidirectional charging via the USB -C port. However, the output on that port is only 60w on the River 2 vs 100w on the AC2A. Do you think the overall capacity and USB-C bidirectional charging makes up for the solar input and the 100w USB-C output?
When using this as a u p s if the a c power comes back on, will it feed back through the unit or run until the battery is dead and then shut off?
@HOBOTECH
8 ай бұрын
UPS mode will pass grid power through and recharge the battery when the power returns.
Would like you to test the Energizer 2150 !!!
I have a EB3A and I just got an AC2A. Can I connect them together?
@hobotech I recently purchased the AC70 as an upgrade to a no-name 300w Solar Generator. I've watched this video several times trying to figure out something that I really don't see in your testing/review. This could be me not understanding something. I see you turn up the voltage when doing the input/solar charging test, but never the current/amps. Thus, my confusion if panels I'm considering would work or not. One that I'm looking at is a 400w panel with Open Circuit Voltage 48.5V and Short Circuit Current 11.17A, company EENOUR. A second is a Bluetti SP350 VOC 42V and ISC 12A Lastly, GRECELL 200W panel with VOC 24v and ISC 12.5A thinking two of using two panels. So, being confused as heck that the ISC 11-12.5 are too much for the AC70 rating of 10A. Could you help an old fellow out with this? Will any or all of these work, or would there be an issue? If they'd work, which way would be the better way to go? Thanks.
Im looking to get a sogen to try running my 10x13 shed behind my mobile home. what do you recommend. The most powrful device i'll be running very seldomly will be my air compressor not sure its draw offhand. I'll have a stereo and lights that will be most often used out there. but not everyday. if power were to go out will whichever unit you suggest be capable of run stuff in house like oxygen machine or other small items. wish I could afford a large unit big enough to run house off of.
@ivanbaggett3303

Air compressors are brutal. The inrush current when starting is huge when there is already 70 psi in the tank. I have a 1 HP 4 gallon compressor, and my AC200P (2000 watt output, 4800 watt surge) will start it, but I can tell it's a strain.

To me, the solar charging priority is ideal. On UPS, I love the UPS mode but I do wish they gave you a choice to turn off the ups mode, as I have some use cases where I want to use a high wattage device, but want to protect the building’s old wiring, so let’s say I have a 950w device that I need to run for 20 min, I would like to run it from the ac70, while still plugged in to the wall, but limiting any wall current to 500w.
@jonjohns8145

@@jonjohns8145 it just passes through from wall outlet, bypassing the battery, until there is interruption and quickly switches to battery. So it’s not related to charging limits. One test i'd like to see is a test to see if the inverter comes back if the battery if fully depleated(or a blurb that say's it has been tested, or the option is available in app), for a UPS a feature like this is needed, or at least the ability to pass through grid power after a long power outage, a much more welcome feature (when used as a UPS) than USB-PD and wireless charging pads, while costing much less than both of those features

I have a buetti and I woke up one day and it was dead and refuses to charge and everywhere I look people say the same thing as well as jackery and all of these portable solar generators. Most people say they never work again and can't get refunds and it seems to be caused by the battery going too dead.
