@Kimberly Lair There doesn't have to be a God to feel awesome and wonderful happiness about this. I'm an atheist, there's no god and we all can feel the same emotion. Ken Scar can be a wonderful man with a heart of gold, and no, we still know there is no mythical god. No god has blessed us. John Popper did it because he's John Popper. You know, Kimberly, that there is no god. God is not a moral being anyway. He's ruthless, arbitrary, cruel and if anything, unkind and a murderer and no, the New Testament and the mythical Jesus's human temporary sacrifice doesn't make god all better.

@@joey-ne6pl I guess I can get that a little? But no, really, I don't because to me, it just takes away the innate kindness of the band and the singer, John, their own morality, their own wishes to do good and kind things and my own capability to feel the transcendent joy of the music and the radiance on these kids' faces, and just gives it all to a puppet-master. Why should we do that? Why, when anyone does anything kind, and selfless or beautiful do we have to automatically give the credit away to some "bigger being that just made us do it." How is it even beautiful or kind, then? That bothers me. Do you see what I mean?! Mind you, I'm so happy to see so many atheists speaking up! WTG!!

It's so beautiful...on one hand, he is cynic about how music has become nothing but a hook. On the other hand, you can see how the kids, who don't understand the words, are moved to joy because of the hook. Makes me think how we are really controlled, us humans, by the smallest amount of love, or a pretty tune...we're just hooked, and will always run back to it.

Thankfully, my dad taught me to appreciate and have a soft spot in my heart for mentally disabled folks at a very early age. This video absolutely floors me with happy, happy tears every single time I watch it. Some times I would even describe it as happy sobbing! The looks on those kids faces when he sings to them is amazingly beautiful. If I ever have the honor of meeting John Popper, I will very genuinely thank him for this wonderful act of LOVE and kindness. This is what art is all about! Using ones skills and abilities to make others lives better. This is beautiful!
