When I was a rattlesnake removal volunteer for Maricopa county, I picked up a lot of blue speckled in the housing developments around South Mountain.

Banded Rock, Pygmy, Timber/Canebrake, Eastern Diamondback, Western Diamondback, Prairie, Blue Speckled and Mojave lol 😂

*Rattlesnakes* are awesome. Its amazing they grew that Rattle to warn off predators but other snakes in the area and similar areas do not grow anything like that, even tho some buzz their tail like they have a rattler

Great video as always! Good job guys! The bluish Speckled Rattlesnake (Crotalus pyrrhus) is a real beauty! The Banded Rock Rattlesnakes (Crotalus lepidus klauberi) are awesome too! The Sonoran Gopher Snake (Pituophis catenifer affinis) is very nice too.

I’m tellin you man, hit the cuts on the Mt lemmon highway. I find snakes every single time I go. And it goes from low land desert all the way up to shrub alpine habitat. And you have a really nice canyon area at the start of it.

And those natural wash cuts are ok, but this time of year things try not to burrow in those areas because of the flash floods. When the pressure drops and humidity rises they sense it and head to higher ground.

I watch a lot of really great *venomus* reptile keepers and none of them have ever showed me a *Speckled Rattlesnake* ... wow just awesome. Never seen or even heard of a *Tiger Rattlesnake* before this video! Thank you for introducing me to some amazing new Rattlesnakes to check out. They are some of the most awesome snakes whether it be *venomus* or *non-venomous* ... do you keep any *Venomous* snakes yourself?

You’re going to laugh but I’ve been looking for snakes when I’m out in the woods. I’ve been lifting tins and large logs when I come across them. Unfortunately no luck yet. Thanks again.

I had an up close and unexpected encounter with a blue speckled rattlesnake in the west valley in White Tanks Regional Park. It was on a black and white granite rock and it camo'd in perfectly with it. Thankfully he let me know he was there and I was able to bypass it, by like 50ft :).
