Very nice Thomas... sounds like you guys had a great time in N. Carolina and the house where you stayed looks great!

You captured some nice scenery. The Flat Rock formation looked like a great place to explore. It appears that the Fall season is in full force there with the changing of the leaves. Awesome vacation (or primary?) home on the hilltop. Well done.

Thanks. Flat Rock is only 15 minutes from the trail head at a parking lot on Blue Ridge Parkway (I believe it was at mile marker 308 or nearby). And it was just a 1 week vacation rental - there are plenty of those, you can easily find them online. But you better book early. We lucked out with the weather this year, sunshine and no rain all week...
