In my opinion the crystals shouldnt break at all, there already to many things in BDO that are totaly nerve racking and toxic and im new to the game and havent seen all of the systems yet

01:15:01 That is why while I was downloading and installing the game, I watched some up-to-date guides for beginners, so when I got into the game, I immediatly turned the vast majority of that stuff off. Plus I learned a long time ago in other mmos that if I can't figure something out fairly quick, do a YT search and skip the frustration. So now I have a BDO YT playlist full of vids for future reference. I may not know what I am doing in BDO yet, but this isn't my first rodeo lol (I found ffxiv and gw2 overwhelming at first too). Edit: Just one thing I disagree with both of you about...I like the questing because it is guiding me around and helping me learn the areas. It is not trash at all....to me, that is. Although, I do agree that something is hinky with the story. Some characters disapeared from the story and I don't know what happended to them (which from a fantasy novel fan, that irritated me).

This is a big thing, some of these "FIRST TIME PLAYING!111" videos people make it out like it is verboten to look stuff up. The game is really old, and probably running on a hilarious bed of spaghetti code. So getting a crumb of guidance isn't bad. Some of it is fixed by people actually reading though.

Honestly the questing is pretty bad in this game by itself, but after a long high apm grind session the brain dead r spam + autopath is a nice change of pace I enjoyed.

Doing rift boss by yourself is fine as long as you pop the rift item individually AND not using the cube.

Peon is bad at games. He likes them, he's good at editing videos and narrating a story, but he is objectively bad at every single game he plays. Watch the gameplay of him in literally any game. His opinions on games are a joke to anyone who can game above chimpanzee level.

24:50 I am a very new player and I am maining woosa after trying several classes that looked interesting. For me personally, the woosa is easier than her sister. I guess the woosa just clicks with me more.

oh wow thank god you said that about balance. people think PA or anyone even on LoL can balance everything. there is just so many kits to play, some just perform better, some are outdated, and some require you to dedicate yourself to it to do much better, some are easy. The shakeup is like ok whats new, and its great

Can confirm they did NOT fix the issue with with the naru gear not progressing your season pass. I just pumped it all the way through to Tuvala without equipping it and had to make another to progress my pass....also I dont know why I watched this 8 months later lol.

Gotta say, I agree with Peon about the game having too many classes. If you have that many classes, it's impossible to balance. I honestly think there's enough now, and I think it would be more fun to flesh out classes by giving additional abilities (like Abyssal Legacy skills) and balance them further rather than keep releasing new ones.

they just need to remove quests and just have 1 quest: grind.

OK so in reference to the crystals costing so much and the fact that they break and you mentioned insurance well that actually is a great idea because I don't know If anybody has played eve online but you can ensure your ships so when you get blown up you still get to recover some of your ISK, I actually like how black desert is currently I don't think it needs to be change in that aspect. It's like EVE Oline. Imagine spending 3 billion isk on a ship and you take it out, and the 1st day you own it, you get blown up, It sucks but that's the game

Been playing BDO for a few months and I don't have any problems learning the basics and mostly just playing the story teaches you everything needed with the ocational mission where you gather the materials and process it to get the needed item and I just love taking a break from the story and just kill some enemies around the world and there's no reason why you should know everything when you start you can always try things out in the middle of the story and even after it I have never really needed those KZread tutorials just take it easy and enjoy the game and occasionally try some new things and you'll be alright

Lol the balance is good. Less than 10% range within the classes (xcept the two stinkers) in pve.

How the fuk is too many classes a CON, lazypeon just becomes more and more goofy every passing video xD

LoL and BDO both do something called Asymmetrical Balancing. The imbalance is INTENTIONAL, and it changes over time to encourage people to try different characters! Most successful PvP games use this method of Balancing, and a lot of the PvE ones do, too. Its simply a fact.

Some people don't understand inflation. You lower inflation by removing the actually SILVER out of the game. When the crystal breaks, the silver is still on the players, the rest of the crystals will simply worth more. If the NPCs sold the crystal, and then the crystals break, then the silver will be out and that would lower inflation.

Just 1 tapped my urugon shoes in one tap while watching this video at 10:41 using lazy peons first lucky enhancement spot I suggest you guys do it to and thanks to this KZreadr cus if you play you know how cursed enhancements be trying to get to pen

BDO's UI in general is horror inducing. Fortunatly you can alter most of it to your liking. After you reach lvl 10 that is... it doesn't take long to be lvl 10 but I don't get why you have to play with their keybinds and so on until you reach lvl 10. That is the first thing I do in any new game.

Why do you need your pet out in pvp?

In this video I am referring to the Wizard "pet" or summon. The wizard pet/summon increases your damage dramatically, applies slows and debuffs to enemies when you hit them, and increases your movespeed. It is absolutely critical for anyone playing awakening wizard or witch.

I love your reactions, they are always fun, although if you can take some feedback... The way you speak is slow-ish so I put you on 1.25 speed. This works for me. If this is the way you are or you need that to gather thoughts, sure. If you can speed up and not lose on delivery that would be even better. 1.25 works for me and if it works for you then we are good anyway :D

I've been out of BDO for the past three years, after playing it since the launch in '14. I will say the "newplayer" returning veteran system-overload catchup is too overwhelming indeed. As a veteran you know some of the basics, but catching up to the UI, newly introduced good sytems one by one is fine. But the clutter in the storages with old event items, sooo many different stones for different turn-in systems, upgrades systems, exchange systems and on and on and it goes is simply too much. The ingame descriptions are o.k but my youtube search histery after a week back in bdo is 30+ searchs long by now. From everything to Yonafragments crafting cresent rings, to Flame of fronst, The Magnus guide, Artifacts, Crystals, garenteed PEN quest chains etc. The game is naturally long lasting, and with weekly updates its bound to happen. But the cleanup is desprately needed for the returning/newplayer experience!

i will never say, land of the morning light questline was a step up.. wtf.. new players wanna try BDO is for combat and looks, not running for 9 hours and pressing R without mount. xD

I got 3 bs in 5 clicks no cap. 2x 165 fs (hammers) 1x 181fs (no crons) my guild loathes me lol.

Why wouldn't you use your 40 and 60 stacks on Tuvala? What the hell else are you going to use them on? You have hundreds of them that PA has shoved down your throat. Even using them with abandon on Tuvala and other bs shit, I'm still drowning in them.

Peons statement of the games Memory Leak is real. Its unreal when you are running the most powerful GPU made, and you run 80FPS due to the outstanding Development Team.

@@hirotakasugi4891doubt. RTX4090 with 13700k or even an R7 gets 130 fps on 1440p and maybe 190 in 1080p. Unless you’re playing on 720p you are lying

Before I watch your video ('m at minute 2) let me say that I don't think he is negative enough. BDO is strangely idiotic in many aspects - he is right about every single "negative" thing he mentions. The guy is a genius! I'm even surprised how the Magnus passed as a positive, when it's a complete fail in my opinion.

LazyPeon is just a showboater. One minute he plays, then he quits then he puts out a 'why I returned' video then again, later on he puts out 'oh no, I can't support this game' video. He goes wherever he thinks will garner views for his sponsorships. I've played BDO since the beginning and how Peon doesn't get dizzy from his love it today, hate it tomorrow repetitive syndrome. I get that content creators/streamers need to generate views but at least attempt some honesty rather than just whatver gets the views.

I dont think lp is negative ive watched a lot of his content. At least 7 videos and dont think that. I just dont care about this taste in games.

making a complex game is easy, the real challenge is making it intuitive, compact and easy to understand game while also maintaining certain level of complexity. that's why we have an entire study on design and user experience. something that BlackDesert should really think about If they want the game to have mainstream appeal. The problem is that a significant portion of the community proud themselves by gatekeeping "complex" system because it makes them feels special. BDO has so much bloat, that even with the recent boom of playe numbers most of them did no ended up staying for long.

i think i can speak for the community and say we all want a bluesquadron onlyfans

LazyPeon isn't the best reviewer. All of his FFXIV videos shown how painfully poor his research and understanding of the game is.

i returned to game after new year and got a free TET blackstar awakening for my DK from christmas/new year event, and the first and only attempt ever tried to PEN went trough with 4-5% xD I basically spawned a PEN Blackstar out of thin air

Wow, watching Peon stumble through BDO was beyond painful. At least put in some play hours before making a review video. 🙄

Complains about features being locked behind quests like ff14 wasn't the worst culprit of that very thing. 😴

Only thing that sucks about bdo is the pvp and thts kinda ironic because its a pvp game. But what i really mean is for a new player. As a new player on pc the average player is soo far ahead of you in gear score that its going to take u quite awhile to be able to actually hold your own. And as a new player thats really liking the game you really want to get into pvp as soon as possible. Well theres t1 and t2 node wars u say. True however, u can only do these node wars 3 times a week unless your in a shit guild or your guild just doesn’t try to win. And also these wars only take place at a certain time as well and you could end up out of the war in a minute or less especially with the whole alliance stuff. So youd have to wait another full day to war again. As a new player you cant rbf. Not that rbf pvp is actually meaningful because its not lol. After like 10 games max u start to question why your even doing it and is it really fun. Because u dont really get anything out of it but pure fun. I wish they had meaningful pvp that you could do all the time. Aos they take away and put on but thts not really meaningful either. More meaningful than rbf but its pretty much the same ending. Really only meaningful pvp is nodewar. The new war of roses looks great but again if your a new player you wont be able to do it for a long time. And its just really hard for a new player to get into the game because of this. Like you can say fuc it lets just grind it out but most players get bored in the process of gearing up for pvp and decide to quit. You could always just only play t1 nw 3 times a week but u dont want ppl playing your game 3 times a week for 2 hours max u want them to play all the time. Also t1 is super class based do to the hard gear caps you also cant really do much on your own so eventually youll start to want more but oh you cant because its gonna take u forever to get there lol

tbh ff is just a bunch of weirdos rping trying to be like tera but with less skill involved when doing dungeons/raids

The raid mechanics.in ff14 can actually be incredibly complex idk what you're talking about l, even tho i hated the basic gameplay of the game it shines in raids especially ultimates. In many ways ff14 is much better than bdo because its simply more well thought out combat wise, bdo has better combat imo but it falls flat because the enemy design and the activities you participate in (or the lack of activities is probably more accurate) are way too simple and so the interesting combat is wasted, you may as well be doing super interesting combos on training dummies for most of the game it's kinda sad Bdo could be one of the best mmos of all time if they just made better enemies and activities but they seem to always go back to the bare minimum circle grinding and it wastes all the effort they put into the combat system, while ff14 has the opposite problem imo, they have some really good enemy design but the combat can feel lackluster in many ways due to its simplicity

ive been saying this about balance for years. the only way to make a game truly balanced is to suck all the fun out of it!

for the ppl that think peon is not a vet on pvp side of BDO he was there in 2016 on Jordine server and he played with one of the top siege guild in the past (and that were just more better than thoses trololol siege guilds nowadays) i met him in fact in BDO beside his videos during few pvp nodewar/siege when i was an hardcore aswell so maybe he don't have a good lecture on every class but trust me he's more vet than more ppl in the comment section, yes he dropped the game but have some respect for the OG in BDO thanks
