This is why there is REDUNDANCY, END LANDING VELOCITY is achieved with one two or three chutes, only difference would be the time at which this IS achieved. There is NO SIGNIFICANT touch down velocity difference touching down with three, two, or ONLY ONE, fully deployed parachutes. It is clear that the person posting this video knows little on engineering, and there is a clear intention of creating unnecessary ALARM, GOSSIPING AND DISCREDIT.

It doesn't land on any prepared pad. The "hard landing" and dust are typical for their capsule landings; they fire retrorockets in the last few feet to slow the capsule from the chute speed. That may have been a little higher this time because of the failed chute. It sounds wonky to do but is not much different from capsule water landings, probably about the same decelerations. The one big difference is that the SpaceX astronauts are trained and at least somewhat fit.

The Blue Origin capsule was *designed* to land safely with only two parachutes open. In this case, the third parachute did not fail, but did not fully open. This sort of thing happened in the Apollo program (Apollo 15's splashdown) and on a SpaceX Dragon flight, but in both cases, this still resulted in safe landings. The problem definitely needs to be looked into, but there was no "Panic" or "heart-stopping drama".

Pay your money take your ride….When is Bezos going to jump to the next stage? If he has any plans of joining Musk, he better get an orbital launch soon. Otherwise this Disney ride should get shelved soon. Believe me, I want to see Jeff succeed, but as every day passes his program is being left in the dust…..unfortunately….
