You have no idea how much you've changed my life. My son is a grown man, who suffers from depression and bipolar. He's in recovery right now from using heroin. He was living on the streets, had lost his children, his faith in the world. He was walking down the street when someone stepped out of their house and shot my son with an automatic assault weapon. Long story made short, he's been clean for 300 days!!! The song that he relates to is, "HATE ME " I sent him the songs via messenger, "Fear " "Not Broken Anymore " THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE THROUGH YOUR AMAZING SONGWRITING 😗💟💟❣❣

😅 the older I get, I've sang between heavy, mellow, jazz, ska, punk etc. But I still come back to these guys when I think what band have i not seen, but would love to. I chose them over Metallica 😂

He sure did. JUSTIN FURSTENFELD IS MUSIC. He lives & breathes it day & night everyday. When it comes to Music & Lyrics he definitely KNOWS what the heck he’s doing. I’m just SO very thankful & happy that the “downward spirals” he’s been caught up in, in his past didn’t consume him totally & completely cuz I absolutely LOVE this man. Not 1day goes by that i don’t listen to him, not 1. HE TRULY IS AMAZING IN SO MANY WAYS. What a all around beautiful Man he is.

Which is a shame. I first found this band when the music video first appeared on MTV and like 4 am. I was highly depressed and the song made me feel so much better. Since then this band has become my favorite band, i listen to the songs everyday.

I really admire how he’s totally changed his life around. Much respect to people who acknowledge they have a serious problem and summon the inner strength to change their ways for the better! Been through mental health and addiction struggles myself and I’ve been through a similar journey myself! Proud of the person I am now

I'm a guy but I can still say with a straight face that Justin is an amazing looking man. and it's insane that after playing thousands and thousands of shows, he still puts SO MUCH emotion into every lyric he sings!

i have loved their music for a long time now ( years) but i cant get over how smooth and rich the music is ( even without vocals)

one of the most amazing moments i've ever experienced was when i was seeing them live in austin, and justin seemed sad the whole performance. but a midst the crowd cheering, singing with him, clapping, laughing, i saw him smile. it gives me chills thinking about it.

Stacy Australia I am in Australia and I only found out about Blue October when I was listening to Taylor Swift and I got a recommendation...The Weatherman. Sometimes I ignore the recommendations but I am glad I listened. I love it and I think their music is awesome. My taste in music is varied. I like Madonna Taylor Swift INXS Coldplay One Republic George Michael The Bee Gees Shania Twain....so I am open to listening anything if the lyrics and melody appeal. Nice to read a comment from someone in Australia. My children had no clue who Blue October are. Greetings from Melbourne.

everything from "Answers" thru to "Approaching normal" has at some stage or another had a fitting song for most people at certains moments of their life. These guys have a track for every occasion and they haven't let us down on this one. Good work but come to NZ pleeease.!!

I think it more has to do with the fact that he poured everything he had into his relationship and it was never enough for her. She tore him in a way that will take a long time, if ever, for him to get over. He put absolutely everything 2nd to her. And she was just there to play him, it's the ultimate betrayal. He even had a great new girl in his life, and he dropped her for a chance to have is his family back. His kind of devotion, most girls would kill for, and she just threw him away.

I was at the Hampton Beach, NH show and got to meet the band afterward. Great guys all around

This band is amazing, been listening to them since "Hate Me". 18th Floor Balcony was my wedding song. The music they create is incredible. Their music fits me, I'm not always happy or sad but no matter what's going on in my life, their music is like medicine. I really can't stand concerts, but would love to see them live. I think that they are under rated, but that's what keeps them, special. If you ate lobster every meal (whatever you crave) it would not take long to get tired of it. I like the variety that they have incorporated into their music. There is almost no music that I listen to that I don't end up skipping some of the songs. I don't really skip tracks on their cd's. Someone told me that " When the heart speaks, a heart listens" I believe that is why some musicians appeal to us and some don't. I have been in places or situations similar to them, I believe. They have a way of expressing the emotions, that I understand.

My home town i missed that concert

I started lisening to them in 2008 and can't get enough. I'm a drummer and have played all kinds of music from classic country to heavy metal and punk rock. And I have to say it's refreshing to know that you don't only have to play in Texas or be playing country music to have a fiddle in the band. It's a nice touch, and I believe musical genius when it comes to song writing. Style reminds me a bit of classic Pink Floyd when it comes to expressing anger lyrically and emotionally.
