I can not, can not, can not even believe I ran across this. I don't know why I just never thought I'd see this on here. Okay, so here goes another piece of my life. This song makes me think of my daddy every single time. He passed away six years ago and I doubt I'll ever let him go. He pulled me through everything. I put him through alot of worry but he was my best friend. "I'm sober now for three whole months. That's one accomplishment you helped me with. The one thing that always tore us apart is the one thing that I'll never touch again and in a sad way I want to thank you for holding my head up late at night.. while I was busy waging wars on myself.. you were trying to stop the fight." I've been sober for almost nine years because he helped me. My daddy saved me.

YAY.. I love "Blue October!" The lyrics to their songs are so meaningful! One of their best songs 'in my opinion' is "Fear". The message is so inspiring & his voice is at it's best in that song! If you haven't heard it you should check it out! The official video is so powerful.

I went to Moscow for their concert back in November 7, 2013 from Istanbul, and once again I was in Kiev for the concerts that took place in 25th February. I am not rich but never thought about distance and money when I started this journey. The flight lasted 11 hours with two transfers, and the return was same route. I wish this wonderful concert had lasted three hours instead of 1.5 hours. Again it was amazing and worth everything.

Depression and depressive illness are horrible. Justin actually has bipolar disorder and depression/depressive illness is just part of it. I think many people can relate to the depression but in my experience, mental illness is highly personal. Each person's experience is different but so many can really relate. (As sad as that is ... 😐 )

I told her this was how I felt during my addiction and I couldn't understand why she wouldn't give up on me at the time and she said "because you're my son, what kind of mother would I be if I stopped trying to keep my youngest child alive?" It broke me down.

This is my first of hearing of this artist. I am going to say something about "HATE" that has almost zero to do with this song. "Hate" ia such a huge emotion, far more powerful than ,yes, love. Anger, Bitterness, and Hate takes on a life of its own and affects many, it is contagious. A prime example is out politicians, the Senate, the congress, Hollywood have split our Nation in half. Think as though you are in a choir, no one want to sing together, everyone trying to show off their voice because they tink they are that good, total chaos !! Only when the choir leader takes a stand, takes authority and he asks them to just try to be as one for that one day. The end result when they but aside their differences and sing as one, out comes the most angelic song that even the director is taken aback. Hate is ugly, and dark. Love is artfully `beautiful , uplifting and has an emotional strength that makes you, me, we wanting it as well. As I said, this is not about this song, when I saw the look on the singers face, yes I saw hate. The same look that I see around our politicains, etc. What our nation could accomplish if we cared enough for each other for our nation to cross the party line and become as one. My oh my, what we could acomplish.

Much thank you to Justin and the band. I have lived the past four years with severe Depression and PTSD. Several times I thought of suicide honestly. I started listening to there music. I believe it was a video he was saying "open book". At that moment it clicked. Never speaking up didn't help even though I tried only to be shut down. I went through emotional abuse from several people. I decided to put fear behind me and speak up. The support is overwhelmingly awesome. I have put some things on my FB page of what I gone through. It was cool seeing them live in Baltimore Maryland (May 2018). Hopeing to go again someday. Thanks for your review. It was interesting to hear your perspective.

Thank you for making it clear that addiction doesn’t have to be a substance, many addictions are behaviors based on attachments, a person’s past and upbringing and so on. This song hurts my ex sent this to me before he disappeared, our separation was he wasn’t part of it he ran away like I was dead to him. Moving and cleaning up that mess was in my lap and I was heartbroken. The video makes people think it’s about his mother yet it’s his ex girlfriend, he wrote this song after Calling me, it’s meant to be an apology. Personally I was angry, I saw this as a cop out way to leave someone you supposedly loved. The importance of his mom imo is she’s his crutch, the extreme mamas boy who didn’t detach from her, she may or may not have allowed him to live independently from her and his family. A man who doesn’t think for himself, does what others say is best, the man who lets his mom control his adult life and relationships, it happens and they tell her all about your issues that they won’t speak to you about. Avoids conflict to the point plays the disappearing act. These people have needs that are impossible to meet, expectations to be Saved by another person, that’s an inside job. My experience was the worst years of my life because I had no closure and he went to the next woman and he’d cheated and lied until he had a back up, the only thing he said was you couldn’t heal me. People who all but destroy another with this immaturity don’t tend to look inside themselves. They blame then leave you for dead. This song makes me sad and mad at the same time. My thoughts are personal and Justin said this song is about his ex Mamie.

This song is actually an apology to a woman he lived with for a time who he messed up with and broke her heart. It’s actually the same woman “Calling You” is about.

Saw this on another video of this song: "Just a happy thought for everyone, despite the ending of the video, Justin's mom is quite alive, and plays herself in the video. It's actually here. So yeah, she's good. He's also happily married since 2012 and has a son and daughter. He's moved past his demons, and he's ok. I hope you all do too. Coming from a guy who's channeled around 27 years of depression and difficulty into music. :) Bless you all."

I have a request, a song that reflects on a bad day and the song has stood the test of time--"The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot. Be sure to do a lyrical video and then discuss.....
