This was a much needed spark for this Jays lineup. What a great moment for Schneider and I don't think I've ever seen Kirk that happy. You can tell by his reaction they've been through it together in the minors

At most Kirk and Schneider played 44 games together in 2018. Not sure that’s quite to the level “been through it together in the minors.” Still, the sentiment is nice

@@345Taco I watched the game. Kirk was ecstatic. My comment doesn’t take away from that. My comment was just directed at your assumption that his reaction meant the two players had “been through it together in the minors” when they were only on the same team for 44 games out of the 6+ minor league seasons since 2017. Bo, Vlad and Biggio have “been through it together in the minors” as they played multiple full seasons climbing the ladder together. If anything, the excitement in the dugout could more have been attributed to cheering for a guy who was drafted in the 28th round(which MLB doesn’t even have anymore), almost quit the sport entirely a few seasons ago and was convinced to keep playing by a former teammate who had been released in 2019 and told him that he should keep with it.

How good he is lately in tough situations? The last tough situation he was in he hit a guy in the face and then had to be removed from the game. I wouldn't call that "good". When was he in a tough situation here? The Jays had hit two homeruns before he even stepped foot on the field. 6.07 ERA over last seven games with only three wins all season, only lasted the league average of 5 innings for 8 out 18 games this year. four hit batters in last three games, If the Jays' bats hadn't come alive in this game he would continue to look just as terrible as he has all season. Next you're going to tell us that Kirk is a fast base runner.

@@jadger1871 Keep in mind that the Jays up until yesterday haven't beaten the Red Sox all season, and who are also a Team that are right behind the Jays in the Wild Card race. There was a ton of pressure going into this game, and Manoah did his part and pitched well, even pitched out of a couple tight situations. Yes, he wasn't perfect, but we can't keep expecting perfection from him just for how well last season went. He's a young talent, of course he's going to experience some down seasons, all great athletes do. All I did was take the time to highlight some positives, ya Negative Nancy.

This season is done for us Red Sox. I give up. A building season. Casas should be a designated hitter, NOT allowed near a base plate. Pitching stunk again. Joke fielding. Sickening last 2 weeks has been. The only 2 players we have thats any good is Duran and Turner. Could be another 100 years before Red Sox get back to a 'Big Papi Era' maybe.... possibly the end of Alex Cora after this season. Start afresh next year. It's all gone stale at Fenway.

This was Valddy's best game in over a month. He hit .239 in July. He has 11 RBIs in the last 4 weeks!!! It is obvious what his problem is yet him and the staff are clueless!! Every AB should go like this. First 2 pitches look for something the pitcher can get over the plate for a strike. Fastball pitcher look for a fastball. DO Not swing at anything outside the zone you pick. Most Blue Jays look at the best pitch they are going to see the entire AB in the first 2 pitches.. If you get behind then protect the strike zone. If you are ahead then continue looking for a pitch in your zone. If you get 2 strikes then avoid swinging at low breaking balls. Those turn out to be automatic balls. Vladdy is horrible at swinging at 2 strike breaking balls off the plate in the dirt. The pitches he SHOULD be swinging at were thrown earlier in the at bat. The Jays are trying to work the pitch count to get into the bullpen. Why not just KNOCK the starting pitcher out of the game by getting hits and runs?!?!?
