@@austinneveau9387 they lost to Oakland, Tampa and got swept by Seattle. Then they fired Montoyo and they beat Philly, swept the Royals and have lost once since and scored 28 runs last night. They wanted him gone. Do you watch sports these days? Every sport has players dogging it until their coach gets fired then they're a completely different team. Yes, I think they played to lose. He had lost control of the clubhouse and had lost their confidence and respect. He had to go. They make it happen.

Let it be known no one scores 29 runs against the Red Soxs
Almost literally gave new meaning to “Blue Jays in 30” lol
Amazing to me how there could be 28 runs and Vlad didnt hit a single homer

the moment that bottom 5 2 downs and unable to catch the infield fly ball. team spirit has gone.
Charlie Montoyo is sitting somewhere and wondering why the Jays never scored 28 runs for him

Montoyo is a good guy and players loved him, but not a good major league manager. He made so many head-scratching moves like when you’re a good poker player playing against a newbie. Sometimes the newbie gets lucky and the strange move works out , but the law of probability always plays out in the long run.
