I remember this year for the crappy sound , I guess both Germany and Austria (2015) neglated the knowledge that was availble and since they are the allknowing germans they went with their own solution , They dont know what good sound sounds like -you can see it within their own choices to eurovision.

Lee's voice is one of a kind no matter what. Apparently he was very anxious and couldn't control his breathing. Anyone can have a bad day even when performing on the finals. Such a great song with a powerful meaning that lifts me up and boosts my vibes.

To be fair though the juries ranked us higher than the televoters in 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014, only 2011 and 2012 were we marked down a lot.

They focused far more on the vocal side of the performance, and that was far from perfect at the UK act. Plus the song is quite an ordinary radio track.

No. It is a song AND performance contest. That's why they have live singing and not recorded performances. I agree that the song was catchy but boy, they murdered the notes while singing it.

Agree, and that was the only time UK finished on the left hand side of the scoreboard. In 2017 they almost did it (10th in juryvotes with 99 points!!!) but at the end they fell to 15th after receiving just 12 points in televote!

I still remember the feeling that this song gave me when I listened to it for the first time while watching Eurovision. Great song!

I was so proud. Blue is my favorite band for 12 years, they helped me so much through rough times. & having them on stage after 5 years they decided to stop, was the most magical moment last year. Thank you Blue, still waiting for you to come in France. Love.

There were technical issues on the night with ear plugs etc so they struggled even the bbc complained to the german broadcaster

It was like he couldn't breathe. But he sang well and he was able to get out of the situation.

I'm a 25 years old italian girl and I literally grew up listening Blue and I remember when 5 years ago I knew that Blue wuold represent UK in Eurovision I cried like there is no tomorrow, was one of the best moment of my life seeing them performing together once again

I think this didn't do as well as it should have because of all the negative criticism received before hand - people tend to start believing stuff after a while and because of the negative criticism, their mind creates an illusion making the song and performance seem terrible. But I strongly respect Blue, they did the United Kingdom proud, 100 points is something we rarely see - so thank you, Blue. I'd like to give a shout out to Bulgaria who gave us 12 points. We humbly thank you - your song should have qualified but alas, this is no longer a song contest.

I heard nothing bad beforehand, all were excited for that comeback in my country, but the song was not it.

Lee’s voice is truly captivating. His falsetto is truly beautiful. I have recently rediscovered Blue and much of their music is amazing. After I originally listened to All Rise (one of my fave songs of all time and my fave from them of their entire discography) and completely loved it, I discovered they competed in Eurovision and this is my second fave of their entire discography. Love this song. The performance and song is truly perfect.

I'm from Turkey and I Can was my favourite this year. I sent 30 text messages for it and my country gave 6 points to the UK. I wish Blue had won. I was so sad at that night because they didn't deserve such a bad result. I want 100% televoting back because juries do nothing but pulling down my favourites every year. By the way, I think there's nothing wrong with their vocals.They can sing very well. Could it have been better? Maybe.. But we shouldn't compare live performances with studio records.

To everyone saying that they can't sing live, I recomend you to watch some other live performances by the boys,like Breathe Easy live from Wembley, or If You Come Back,All rise- live @HeartRadioMusic, and judge after. I'ts clear that apart from the possible mic problems, this performance was not a good one , but they have great voices!!!!!

wow - this was great, such good strong vocals and harmonies of their vocs.,😍💛💚💙💜🤎 the song charted No 8 in Austria, 7 in Germany, 8 Switzerland, 16 Uk and 17 Irland...

It's such a shame that this song wasn't in the top 5

I still say this should have won it had everything

Our 3rd best result post-2000, damn, at least it got 100 points, also shows if we actually try a little we can get a good result

We didn't do too bad finishing 11th! I really enjoy the harmonies in the chorus here, but for some reason they're not on the recorded version.

11th was a great place and blue did a great job

Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe voices seemed nervous. Antony didn't have much to offer. Moreover, the posters were also misplaced. Antony and Simon in the beginning were behind Duncan and Lee's posters and not theirs. Duncan James was the only one who nailed this performance and you could clearly see he was enjoying himself.

I'm a huge Blue fan, I can remember watching Eurovision and suddenly they introduced Blue, I screamed. Told my dad to keep his mouth shut while Blue is on and make the tv louder XD

One of my favourite bands at my favourite thing in the world.They were brilliant!Unlucky not to win the whole contest in my opinion!

So this just popped up on my feed, after many years, it was such a bop.

Blue, I love you, you are great, you should have won!!! After all these these years, I just wanted you to know that.

You know what they did amazing to be able to represent the UK they smashed it yes the sounding was bit low but they carried on an made it amazing still they deserved more definitely though at least people can see them for how amazing they are ....because they are and they can do anything!!

When Blue started, Lee had by far the best voice and did most of the singing followed by Duncan. But yeah, Lee's voice has degenerated (he also had diarrhea at that time). Given that this song was so dependent on his singing, it's no surprise it collapsed.

There is ABSOLUTELY no harmonies in their vocals & the straining on the chords is just astronomical.

Great Song 😘😘 They can sing and dance live. I love this Song❤, they are Winner from the Heart. Man have become.Duncan looks great😘.His looks great. His Looks and his Jump at the End i love it. The Voices of all 4 is great, especially in the high and low Notes from all 4.❤👍

ESC 2011 still my favourite Song Contest to this day in 2017

It's interesting that the UK perceived an eleventh place as a flop. Today, they would be happy to get even close to it again 😉. I thought the performance was okay, but nothing more. You could tell they were nervous, but on the other hand, they couldn't have done worse than the entry a year before 😀. I have always appreciated Blue as a group and Lee in particular has an amazing vocal range. Of course, with the high parts, there's always a danger that the notes don't sound nice. What I find remarkable is they still needed two extra singers. That didn't make them look like a vocally strong singing group, I think.

i`am a personal fan of blue have been it since all rise, but is it yust me or is this preformence a bit weak?

The great & interesting thing about Eurovision is that no matter how famous you are, that's no guarantee whatsoever of winning. Blue are world famous, just as famous as Adele & although the vocals were very patchy, they're not just playing to their fans, they're playing to millions more people from all walks of life all over Europe and many of those people aren't Blue fans, they know them but aren't necessarily fans. They'll vote for whatever song or artist appeals to them on the night & that could be absolutely anyone. Fame isn't everything & Eurovision is a great example of this.

THE SONG IS GOOD! I really enjoyed their performance in Eurovision as well. People are being so harsh on Blue. It takes courage, you know, to compete against less famous people, knowing that there is a risk of losing to them. All the embarrassment afterwards and all... I say, they did really well. I mean it.
