I was in the audience and, in that moment, we all felt an huge energy and we sung along with Surie! She had an amazing recover after this stage invasion and she was great. On television you can't see and feel half of what we, audience, saw and felt. We all supported her, and she did it greatly!

People felt it watching at home. My friends and I were watching in Czech Republic and we all said, "it's nice but forgettable" before the stage-invasion. Afterwards, we all voted for the UK! SuRie made everyone feel it. I swear, if the juries voted on the live final, instead of the night before, the UK would have had many 12s thrown their way and would've finished top 15, if not top 10.

I remember seeing this live on TV and feeling overwhelmingly proud of her when she picked the microphone back up and naturally continued. If anything, the stage intrusion only made her performance stronger as you can tell that she becomes more passionate about the song, and there’s an obvious feeling of unity as the crowd sings with her (you can hear the crowd continuing the song for her at 1:52 while the singer is still retrieving the microphone). It’s beautiful.

You could tell just from watching TV, BEFORE the invader came on, the entire arena was singing the chorus unprompted (not like the other songs). Then ... when she got back on the mic, it was the biggest cheer. But you could tell she was visibly shaken and angry that something she had worked on for several months had been ruined through no fault of her own. It wasn't a good song - I placed it at 14th. But Europe doesn't like us much at the moment, after we voted to destabilise Europe by leaving it [not me - I'm one of the silent 48%] If Surie had performed Netta's song really well, even better than Netta - she would have finished dead last, no question. Nul point. Nobody likes the UK ... voting for us is like voting for Germany immediately after World War II ... we took an historically poor decision and are paying the price right now. But - in 20 years time, we might be able to gain some respect back and get fairer treatment.

I honestly don't think that the low points are due to Britain leaving the EU. The jury are usually artists themselves (at least in my country) and they should know better and put another fellow artist above politics. When listening to the song the first time I was also not very impressed, but somehow it gets better the more often you hear it. Some of the other countries just had catchier songs and really believe that's the reason Britain scored so low. And no doubt Surie is a good performer and deserves respect for pushing through even when visibly shaken.

I was there, far ahead, at the Golden Circle! After the incident, immediately the flags were raised, the audience (from different countries) began to sing louder ... It seemed that the Singer was giving up, but in this scenario, she picked up the microphone from the floor and continued! In the Arena they all happened to be Surie, UK. It was beautiful ... it was amazing ... it was creepy! Only those who lived this moment can testify. Congratulations to the Eurovision spirit !! Congratulations from Portugal!

The professional jury gave 26 points, all countries together, what good song you are talking about? Is funny, this year, many songs was appreciated by jury and public vote as well. Is really annoying because UK is one of the big player, but don't invest in a proper preselection. The one from Brighton was a cheap pageant contest. Instead blaming everybody else, do something and improve. This contest is about songs, not Brexit, crap. You have a rubbish song you don't get high, is simple.

There's a may? If you're going to make ridiculous comments and assumptions, at least write them correctly. The last time I looked, Theresa May didn't start any wars that led to the deaths of millions of innocent people in a country that has nothing to do with the UK, and not to mention that Jellybean Carboot is the biggest laughing stock of UK politicians on the world stage in the 21st century, but what has that got to do with it? Israel won and neither the country nor Binyamin Netanyahu would win any international popularity votes, would they? The fact is that this song sounded too much like Avicii's 'Hey Brother' and even the first two words were that. It was never in with a chance of anything but a plagiarism lawsuit.

So unfair to such a sweetheart who clearly has embraced the show and been kind to everyone. I hope this does not dampen her Eurovision experience.

Ann-Christine Nilsson haha we have let it go lol, the UK is fully aware we won’t win again or at least not for many years to come anyway as the voting’s so political nowadays and everyone votes for their neighbouring countries, even if the performance is awful, and we’re an island so we don’t stand a chance from that viewpoint, even if we put someone famous in lol, we wouldn’t stand a chance. I was just hoping she’d get more points than what she did as I think the performance was one of the better ones of the night lol (and I’m not just saying that because I live in the UK), I don’t think it was the best performance but definitely one of the better ones but oh well lol. She did do amazing to carry on after that so well done to her

It's a shame as Eurovision Song Contest tries to censor his performance by publishing on Friday's official channel the performance on Friday instead of the original on Saturday. From here, give all possible support to SuRie and tell her that her transformation at the end of the song will be remembered forever. How would you as a performer feel if every time people watched your performance, they couldn't listen to the full song and kept focusing and giving power to that stupid man, instead of focusing on her. She doesn't deserve to be remembered for a sabotaged act, but for her song and her performance. Do not give the man the power.

Having watched her jury performance and her final performance one after the other, it's notable how much of a weird kind of boost that event happening did to her performance. You can see the adrenaline and the way she urges the crowd on to support her - which they duly do. It's really an amazing moment of defiance against adversity, regardless of where she eventually finished.

She didn't get much points because the jury performance was pretty rough. Like after the incident, she did way better, if she had that fire in her in the jury performance and all the others, she would have killed it, don't know why the televotes were that low.

As a Turk, I was living in UK at 2018 and I was 8 years old. I didnt knew that There was a contest named Eurovision. This was my first. I watched it with my mom. It was amazing that she didn’t gave up and continued like nothing happend. I wanted to vote her but I couldn’t (Because I was in UK). I think this is one of the most underrated songs in the history of Eurovision. She handled the situation really good and it made her sing more powerfully. I am now 14 years old and I still listen to this song. She deserved a better place.❤

For me she was the real winner of the night! Her determination to finish her song and the look in her eyes when she said 'don't give up' was amazing and the audience reaction was bloody brilliant!! To be clear she had 3 backing singers to the side of the stage who carried on singing whilst the drama unfolded, no miming took place as against EBU rule ALL vocals must be live on the night and Sure you did your country proud!
