Born and raised here I never New it existed, it goes to show you how much history San Antonio has. Love my home town and yes it was a whole lot different 15 years ago before they started transforming Texas to the new California.

How many people get to work in a place where, if asked what does this place mean to you personally; can’t answer without actually choking up? I’m glad that people like that are taking care of this please. Passion like this seems to be getting so rare.

Such a beautiful place of tranquility. Thank you for sharing. It would be an honor and blessing to be allowed such sacred solitude.

I used to visit my aunt at the convent . Her name was Sister M Constance (Kapitza) I was around 8 or 10 years old . Now I am 68 years old but still remember the springs.

Blue holes are the best! It is amazing to me that they really exist and aren't just some kind of mirage.

I visited San Antonio in 1965 but never knew about this place. It would be fun to visit the city again.

Refer you to Edwardsaquifier.net for detailed historical information regarding the Blue Hole and other springs in the San Antonio area , considered sacred to the native people. BTW, The tree looks to be at least 400- 500 years old, judging by trees known to be 500 to 1,000 years old in the state.

I would love to check out Blue Hole and all of the missions in San Antonio. I haven’t been to San Antonio in a couple of years. Thinking about going next year.

The first people would have used this spring and had a special attachment to it ,but now religion has stolen it and shut the first people out ,
