Mizu is hands down one of my favorite leads in any show I've seen. Her theme matches her perfectly -- menacing, tentative, somber, and gorgeous. I hope i see her in a second season!

If you ask me, it is the way she feels vulnerable yet still so powerful and fluid. The fluid ness of the music with the rigid parts makes it feel dazzling but so based. The different emotions make this series the best. I will never forgive Netflix if they cancel season two

I've seen better, but I've especially seen worse. Good writing, meaningful character design, coherent chara development, feels good to stumble upon some quality work once in a while.

I'm cancelling my Netflix account if this doesn't get renewed for infinite seasons.. One of the only shows worth keeping my Netflix account open for lol

just finished. Excellent show. Best animated series since Arcane. I dont know when this started production but I can help but feel like Arcane's animation style opened a new door and new animation studios are following suit, and I couldn't be happier. This style of animation is just stunning. I know its not exactly the same but it feels very similar and I love that.

Have you watched Castlevania yet ??? First 3 or 4 seaons are awsome, especially if you grew up on Castlvania 3..... Last season, its a new cast 100 years later, follows the games very losely and its not for everyone.... its ok, but how it ended did get me pumped for the next season.

I do like Arcane's style more because it feels more cohesive (better compositing, texture work among other things) and the voice acting is stellar in Arcane.

@@soysource3218 Fortiche are amazing, but I suspect that had a substantially larger budget, plus so much was done purely by hand, it's a technical tour de force. Blue Eye Samurai, however, is a proper adult animated series, while Arcane did what it could with its constraints. Both are incredible works and seminal animated creations of our time.

The only character in fiction that can match Guts in sheer anger

Without exaduration Mizu climbed quickly to the number 1 spot of my favourite characters and that's no small feat. God I hope season 2 is as good as season 1, but I have my full confidence in the team that made this wonderful gift of a show come to life.

@Genkiooo For now. The first season is great. But who's to say that the next season will be? It may turn out like most series today, where the first movie or season is god tier, but everything afterwards is trash.

This show alone redeems all Netflix's failed productions. Masterfully done. I hope season 2 is just as amazing.

Her theme is so good and pleasant to listen to. I was hooked by the first scene of the first episode when this was playing while Mizu was walking through the gorgeous snowy environment. I knew I was in for something special.

The opening of this music is so mesmerizing ! It also fits Mizu perfectly, truly beautiful. Every aspect of this show is a piece of art, we can deeply feel all the passion put into it. Already watched it twice in 3 days lmao. Probs to everyone who work on this amazing project, you did a wonderful job 👏

I stopped watching Onimusha for this masterpiece. I regret nothing.

The soundtrack for this show is just excellent and I've had it on repeat for weeks now. Mizu's theme has the Akira Kurosawa meets Clint Eastwood Samurai Western vibe, but so much more also!

Can there be anything better than this? "Blue Eye Samurai" is an absolute masterpiece!!!

I'm so proud that a french studio animated this, damn I only dream of working on such masterpieces of animation

Blue eye samurai peaks during it's fifth episode and never really reaches the same level of quality again. Not to mention, Arcane does a much better job at making every character interesting and complex.

@@thelastcrow5660 as much as I love arcane I just like this show more. Its probably its themes and asthetics. I love the sound production on this show especially with swordfather being blind. Every scene with him the sounds give you information about what he "sees" thats just genius

It is one magical thing in life to find stunningly beautiful music in some "underground" works.

This series came out of nowhere being this good like god damn

So ergreifend schön und traurig und doch auch so stark. Wie Mizu. Die Musik ist so perfekt auf die Figur abgestimmt. ❤ Es bleibt ein Meisterwerk!!

Binged this as soon as it came out. I'm on the second watch-through and I dare say, I'll be re-watching it within another month. I love Mizu! Damn good character and backstory. I'm looking forward to season 2 in 2025!

I’m on episode 6 literally every episode keeps me guessing and the suspense is insane but it makes sense too like idk how she keeps killing dozens and dozens of men’s at once but it never feels like a cop out for the story’s sake

@@abikt1782 Genau davor hab ich Angst. Weil es Netflix mit dem Absetzen von guten Serien ja leider sehr gerne übertreibt. Zur Zeit werden einfach so gute Serien nicht verlängert und der Müll der geht natürlich weiter. Das finde ich ungerecht auch den unzähligen Fans der Serien die sehnsüchtig auf die nächste Staffel warten und einfach so plötzlich von Netflix nicht verlängert werden. Das finde ich ist eine Frechheit. Ich hoffe blue eye samurai gehört nicht zu den "ausgestoßenen".

Now that you say that, they do sound pretty similar! The Last Samurai is one of my favorite movies and this show definitely reminded me of it with the white men bringing guns to Japan. Both beautiful and stunning stories in their own ways

Good art is art that transmit emotion. This show sends emotion on all levels, story, visuals, characters, music. A masterpiece!

This music was stunning, I instantly thought of the video game Okami when I heard it for the first time in the show. Beautiful soundtrack for a beautiful show.

Thank you for creating this masterpiece. It was a coincidence that the show came out right after i fisnished my 10 page essay about the Samurai. The characters, the music, the scenes, storytelling and the battles were all amazing.

The start and 7:00 are my favourite parts.

My friend told me to watch the "Blue Eye Samurai". I dive into it and finished for one day. That's brilliant! How the series mixing different artwork, how the soundtrack and voice lines sounds (every time I catching goosebumps on my spine), fight and erotic scenes -- honest, brutal, with a lot of empressions. And there's no black or white colors only. A lot of shades of gray. Always giving me a lot of things to think about. I keep my fingers crossed to wait for season 2. Good luck team! My heartfelt thanks for your awesome and hard work. "Blue eye samurai" got the own place in my heart.

I want a figure of Mizu with the figure of an Onryo at her back with glowing blue eyes, showing how much rage and revenge have turned her into a monster, but with a blossom tree growing at her feet to show her gentle, sweet side that manages to resurface amidst all the anguish and hate

i think something that really makes me appreciate and enjoy this show is how I enjoy most Japanese games/show. Especially with how this reminds me of Ghost of Tsushima.

This show has been a welcome surprise for me. Netflix shows usually tend to suck but at documentaries and animations, they're really going solid At first I was a bit balked by the casual looking ''strong female lead'' trope, but no, this show has a perfect setting, a perfect protagonist and the perfect tone for what it wants to tell. And Mizu isn't a monster, she definetly is a beast that will survive though, all hail Mizu!
