I've watched this for a second time and have a more generous review than 7mths ago! The Blue Danube is, as it is for a lot of people, my all time favourite waltz! The is one of the best, if not the best, portrayal of it that I've ever seen! It has been brilliantly choreographed, brilliantly danced, brilliantly synched, brilliantly videoed, brilliantly edited and brilliantly staged! An all together first rate performance all round! And, as i wrote last time, I particularly liked the ending! And a PS about the ending. When the young woman looks back at the balcony and sees herself as the ballerina and as the image fades away the young woman smiles and I'm left with the impression that she realizes that "in a different reality", she was/is a ballerina and she did dance The Blue Danube"!

The Blue Danube is greatest piece of music ever written, along with La Paloma. Takes me to an older world. A better world.

Love The Blue Danube, The Second Waltz and La Paloma. Never get tired of listening to these songs especially if being played by Andre Rieu. 💗

Beautiful European culture. I will cruise the Danube next year, regardless of the cost, because it is in my blood and I love it. Greetings from America.

I really like how they say we're here! Like ordinary tourists who are escorted into a the most beautiful palace with brown granite floors you really get the feeling of being with them so beautiful the showcasing the Vienna palace! And then at the end.....was it just a dream?

Back in the 1800's the joke among European royalty was this: "The Habsburgs allow one of their subjects to have a grander palace than their own". This is that palace built for a military hero of the bygone Austro-Hungarian empire. Aristocratic, but not royal.

This was my in-laws signature dance at weddings in 1970's. At our wedding my then wife told me to pay attention. Everyone else did also. Not as extravagant, but very good. By our daughter's wedding MIL was in a wheel chair.

I came upon this enchanting piece quite by chance! I have never been one for Ballet, but this vision of (hypothetical) parallel Universes phasing in and out .. where the protagonist can observe herself for the brief moments that those Universes overlap … The decorum and charming grace is simply overwhelming. Hats off to the choreographer and the amazing artistes. The re-telling of Cinderella? 👏👏👌👌

Thanks! for uploading this ballet. My wife and I spent New Year's Eve in Vienna several years ago and toured this royal building. Beautiful city but a little crowded on NYE.
