This strategy is NOT patched, I just did it with this same team and strategy and cleared it fine (lvl 39). Some tips to know: - Leave 3 Justina followers alive to prevent more from spawning, as soon as one dies, restart. That is the whole point of the strategy. - It makes your life way easier if you upgrade Tsubaki's bag to T4, you can use your expert permits from the shop to get the materials. Once I did this, I cleared it immediately. - I used Chinatsu instead of Hanae. Not really for any particular reason, I just happened to have Chinatsu more built and I cleared it. Good luck c:

I do not have Serina, I only have Yuuka, Aru, Akari, Haruka, Kayoko for red bullets. Chise, Asuna and Kaho are my blue-bullet student. All students i mentioned I haven't upgrade stars.

Currently at lvl 42, with several attempts which result in failure. I will try again and again, using yours and many other guides to climb this seemingly insurmountable wall. At least this tells me it's not a wallet issue, but a skill issue. I can take comfort knowing improving is a matter of patience rather than income.

It took me like 1-2 hours to try and experiment with the cheese strat here when I first found it, unfortunately I have leveled up quite a lot so I can't provide an exact equipments for each students, but I recommend to get T4 bag for Tsubaki and you can survive the Justina followers damage.

@@yonascy5119 Update, I have beaten the level! As a hail mary, I pulled on one of the latest banners and got Kokona, who was helpful and let me bring along a damage dealing special unit. Unfortunately this means no more merit in a complete freebie's strategy. But more or less, I kept the strategy of having Tsubaki hold agro while everyone else chips away at Hiero's HP and keeping Justina spawns to a minimum. Regardless, everything I have learned until now has been an incredible help. I learned more about the game's mechanics through figuring out this boss than before. So thank you!

Ummmm I think it would be almost impossible, even for me at level 38 it took exactly 3 minutes to finish Hieronymus with my team comp, but if you have good gacha pulls (Azusa, Iroha, other op students) I think it would be possible to do it :)

ok for a sec I thought it didn't work but it actually does, the 3 justinas have to be one with skull 2 with nothing or the game spawns 6 more anyways, my source is that it came to me in a dream (I tried like 6 times and in whenever I killed the two elite ones and left 3 regular ones they respawned) so yeah, this comp works super well, thanks a lot

They fixed it. Even if you let 2 or 3 mobs alive, it will spawn more. I finally beat him, using Tsubaki, Chise, Tsurugui Swimsuit, Yuuka, Serina and Mashiro. Literally on 3min, on level 42 (it's really hard)

it doesn't really matter if they spawn more, your tsubaki can tank them with hanae's heal. Also, using tsubaki ex to taunt the mobs everytime you can

@@mashiroo5542 I didn't used Tsubaki's taunt, just keep her alive with serina and focused on doing damage with Mashiro, Chise and Tsurugui

Did a little testing, and for anyone who can't get the Justinas to stop spawning, it works for me, but there appears to be more conditions to it than just leaving 3 of them alive. They consistently stop spawning for me as long as I stop damaging them completely before some point however, so if your tank is attacking the Justinas instead of Hieronymous, try moving the tank closer to Hiero so she attacks it instead. (There is more stuff going on under the hood here though, so I'm unsure what the exact conditions actually are. I can leave 3 alive and it's enough, but if I leave 4 and kill the 4th one later, it'll spawn another wave. Similarly, I can do some random short damage to the Justinas using an EX for example, and as long as I don't kill them it's fine, so, I dunno. But leaving them alone early enough seems rather consistent so I'll leave it at that for my part.)

Attempted to do it with a variation of this team (All level 39) Serina (3*) Ayane (3*) Azusa (4*) Shiroko (5* + 1* Weapon and lvl 20 Affection) Tsubaki (2*) Yuuka (3*) Tsubaki died almost instantly, but somehow my underbuilt Yuuka managed to survive for the entire run on her own. Shiroko and Azusa kept targetting the Justina followers, causing them to continuously respawn, but somehow my healing managed to keep Yuuka alive long enough for me to occasionally use Shiroko or Azusa's skill on the boss. Despite completely messing up the strategy I still managed to defeat the boss with Yuuka dying in the last 5 seconds. First try :D (I have no idea how that worked)

This chapter almost makes me wanna uninstall the fucking game, I am so angry about it tbh You can't suddenly make my levels outside the story matter after like 10 hours of it not, especially in a mode that doesn't even give you XP for playing it. It's horseshit. You ESPECIALLY shouldn't do it in the dead center of the climax of a story I was really invested in. Anyways here's my question: how do you get their stupid AI to stop aiming at the mobs and shoot the damn boss? They actively refuse to waste a single bullet on him and instead focus entirely on taking out the infinitely spawning small fries

you need focus fire character like noa, sakurako, and swimsuit izuna. apply their skill to the boss and ur whole unit will focus firing the boss

I've finally beaten this god awful boss and I just feel empty and angry. Felt sooo invested in the fucking story of Eden Treaty and at no point I felt it was boring or a chore. Now even though there is a whole chapter left I just want to finish and get going with Rabbit Squad story to maybe recover some of the life energy this stupid fucking boss sucked out of my soul. And honestly the build-up the story was having should had made this one of my favorite moments from all gacha games, but the execution was so poor it almost made me uninstall this god forsaken game. If the Volume 1 and the second half of Volume 2 hadn't been so good, I certainly would have.

@keyboard_destroyer use my team in order. serina as support and the other would be whatever you think would fit. i used kotama before. starting skill would be chise, koyuki, serina. at the start, use serina skill to make mutsuki go in the middle then pre aim koyuki/chise skill at the part where the ghosts would spawn. then use mutsuki at the boss (make sure its the you aim at the middle to get 3 hits) keep making mutsuki in the middle and keep tsubaki alive. if you dont have koyuki, any blue would do but experiment with the team placement. if you have iroha, things would be easier. if you have azusa, change mutsuki to her. thats about it. just reply if you have more questions or clarifications

@keyboard_destroyer because of her basic skill, the mines. it deals a lot of dmg and when all 3 of it hits the boss, it takes a huge chunk of his hp. makes sure her ex and basic is 3/3 or you can even 5 her basic skill

If any nun on the bottom side of the boss dies then they respawn if they are left untouched then it's just the 3 down there left.

Would bunny toki be any good here? She's my only red 3 star. I also have Himari, should i use her on support? I'm level 30 so i know i can't win yet, just trying to build towards winning. It's annoying because there's that guide task at the moment which requires completing the Hyakkiyako story, and I can't get those rewards if I don't beat this stupid boss!

@@huynamvu3035 it positioning mostly, you should follow my specific team setup. The only one you need to reposition is Tsubaki in game. So the key is to reposition and heal tsubaki. Errrr idk but a recent comment said it was patched??
