Excellent job man. One manned that job like a beast! Can’t believe they didn’t send a helper there with you! That sucks but sometimes that’s the name of the game and you handled it like a boss

How tight is the fit when pillow block bearing and shaft are the correct size? There is one locking collar. How does that one collar keep the shaft assembly centered (seems like it would require two} and do you put some pressure/thrust against the pillow block bearing with the collar to keep it centered? Thanks for creating the video. I subscribed to your channel just now also.

The shaft slides through the pillow block bearing pretty easily. Some bearings need to be pressed but not pillow blocks. And then yea basically the locking ring just clamps the inner ring down on the shaft. One for each bearing. I usually set everything and then clamp it all down in this order: lower bearing, wheel, upper bearing. Upper bearing being the end with the pulley. Thanks for subscribing!

Freaking Awesome Brother. How many Hours did it take you in Real Time? I have to do one tomorrow and it was quoted for 3 Hours

It probably took me about 2-2.5 hours but I’ve done a bunch of them. If you’ve never done one then I would have quoted 4.
