    Bad cap doesn’t cause it to spin wrong, it doesn’t spin at all, and when the other fan starts up it sucks air through the other fan whole and that jump starts it and that’s what causes it to spin backwards

    Time after time after time here in the UK the so called senior service engineer is just a sales guy masquerading as a HVAC guy which just pisses everyone off and is without doubt the worst aspect of the job.

    A preventative service schedule is totally worth it for HVAC. Replacing parts before your AC or heat doesn't work is a must with some of the back ordered parts. People don't wanna spend a little to avoid catastrophic failures. When I did maintenance I used to document the lower PM plan/interval costs on all my "reactive" and emergency fix invoices. Sometimes people just need to see that PM cost next to the emergency costs.

    The relay disables one fan when the outdoor air temp sensor connected to the rtrm is below 60 degrees. Some times Ive seen the sensor fail and then the rtrm thinks its insanely cold out and never enables the second fan. The paint on the compressor and filter dryer is from the factory.

    The reason the fan is running the wrong way is it probably wasn’t running at all the other fan was pulling air in through the other fan making it spin like it’s running backwards

    That’s what happens most of the time. But this time, it was actually running backwards.

  • @TheGgin
    @TheGgin15 сағат бұрын

    @@JeffsHVACAdventures Nice save for the Tennant! You're correct the motor is running backwards, but when the run cap is dead, a PSC motor will run either direction it's spun with, in this case the working motor drew air down thru the guard as the comments above mentioned, both are right!

    I work service and repair subbed through property managers and I gotta say I tend to trust service companies more than the customer. Landlord , owner , manager whatever. The stuff I see from them I dont trust them. They have unrealistic expectations on their highly used equipment. That being said there are bad service companies out there too. If I'm at a job and I catch any flack from owner , manager whatever I'm out. On to the next one. Most of them treat us like crap. Constantly making us wait or not being there when they say. Idk. Just My experience.

    4:47 instruction on the inner/plastic package: "Barely thread the middle manifold hose(yellow) to the male fitting of the injector. Do NOT thread to the point of depressing the Schrader core. Briefly crack open high side manifold valve to purge air out of the yellow hose. Then close high side manifold valve, and then quickly tighten yellow hose fitting to the injector."

    The cellphone's screen recording shows 2 bars of cellular signal strength, not the airplane icon, in the status bar at the top of the phone's screen. That implies the cellular radio wasn't turned off, and doesn't need to be turned off to use the camera. Also, the wifi-connected icon isn't displayed in the status bar. The 19% battery level is low enough to be unhealthy for the battery. The BatteryUniversity website recommends keeping the battery charge within the 40% to 80% range if you want to maximize its lifespan. That's especially important with devices that don't allow the user to replace the battery, like many modern cellphones.
