Bloom’s Taxonomy: Structuring The Learning Journey
Bloom's taxonomy is a toolbox that teachers or students can use to classify and organize learning objectives.
It’s most popular version is based on the cognitive domain and assumes that learning should be structured from easy to difficult in the following 6 steps:
1. Remember
2. Understand
3. Apply
4. Analyze
5. Evaluate
6. Create

Concise and to the point. This effort deserves a round of applause.
I'd like to challenge the idea that I think it's not a pyramid structure but more so, a web-like structure. Because there can be an example where you have created something accidentally, and reverse engineer it to be able to remember what it is. Even if this seems like a systematic approach of being a vertical pattern, I think it could also be a horizontal pattern where you could have different sections of mastery and not just one section at a time.

I agree. I think all of these processes are happening simultaneously and feed into each other, but there is value in giving the concept a simple structure to analyze

I think this idea is worth supporting. Because people have diff. types of learning styles and perspective that can affect their process of learning.
I'm a tutor at a community college and I think this was a great explanation. Great job.
Thank you so much. Im gonna use this on my report tomorrow. Thanks a lot.
thank you for such a nice video!! a short video covering everything about Bloom's Taxonomy. Understood the topic very well
Wow, now that is what a teaching skill is.
Damn! I should have come across this channel sooner. Would have really helped my learning experiences a lot more for my B.Ed Course. Surely gonna introduce this channel to as many people as I can.👍👍
That was a great video , explaining simply what blooms taxonomy is really about, I love the characters as well it was fun to continue the video thanks a lot
Thank you for the video, simple and easy to understand.. Loved the lemon example throughout the learning process.
That’s exactly why hearing a lecture about something is really just the first step und you really need to apply and try things to really learn about them.

A perfect explanation of Bloom’s model
Wow! No words to appreciate the greatness 🎊️
Thank you so much!
The issue with this is sometimes you need a lot of other knowledge in order to proceed to other levels and some of the lower levels are easier learned when you have access to the higher level methods. It's kinda like Maslow, it's a good simplification, but is it too simple? Likely.

You are correct! Empirical knowledge would allow for moving through the pyramid more rapidly. When your Empirical knowledge and IQ are sufficient, you may simply leap the normal bounds and arrive at an answer which is the true definition of the word "Genius".

The visual structure would look more like a jigsaw puzzle. Everything is connected in some fashion. A triangle is too simplfied to understand it. Heck you may even be missing pieces that is how complicated it is.
When you think tone of the video is condescending af but then you have the realization you’re an adult and just hearing this for the time *facepalm*
Wonderful explanation. Thanks a bunch.
great visual description and narration, thanks 👍
It’s was created in 1956 not 1946…. The first volume of the taxonomy, Handbook I: Cognitive was published in 1956, and in 1964 the second volume Handbook II: Affective was published. A revised version of the taxonomy for the cognitive domain was created in 2001.

At 3:24 you mentioned that bloom's taxonomy was introduced in 1946, when in fact it was introduced in 1956. Writing this so that no one has to remember the wrong date for any further use of it. Other than that this is a perfect and very good explanation of bloom's taxonomy.
A small lemon ,the great information 👍👍👍👍
Great explanation.
Omg why is this video in my recommendation, youtube such knows that i need this video 😭 fyi, i am doing my tesis and there's correlation with bloom's taxonomy. This video helps me so much, thank you ❤️

Great video very helpful 👍
Very informative and logical
A brilliantly created video with great examples. We would just want to suggest a correction - Bloom's Taxonomy was set in 1956 and the video says 1946. Don't know if you can change that on the video any sooner? Hope this helps!
How can you understand without analyzing? Or rather: was this form of understanding meaningful? Moreover, we are always biased. I get that it is a useful heuristic but it is also very simplistic and scientifically disproven. Learning isn't a linear, computational process but a dynamic system. My suggestion/compromise would be: iteratively 1) Experience 2) Remember/recall 3) Reproduce (also a form of creating) 4) Deconstruct/analyze 5) Understand (but again, not a fan of such a sequential model which already looks like a pyramid scheme)

These are very helpful and interesting thank you
This video made me understand easily for my exam🙏
Though I really like and appreciate this video but I always find hard to draw a boundary line between the stages but still a remarkable theory.
I think Bloom's theory was written in 1956. Please double check.
