You are my favourite by an absolute mile. You don’t talk. It’s about the furniture not you. Your skill levels are at master craftsmen level. You don’t alter or amend, you restore using traditional techniques but with modern machinery. Well done. I love watching your films.

The finished wardrobe restore looks incredible 😍! Every time I watch one of these videos, I'm struck by how much work is involved, and how much knowledge you have to have in so many areas to fix everything! What a profession you have to be proud 👏 of, while perserving history one piece at a time!

A 100 year old piece of furniture in Estonia has survived the takeover of the country by the Soviet Union, then the brutality of WWII, both the Nazi invasion and the Soviet counter invasion, then decades of Soviet occupation, then independence. There was a lot to survive. These pieces survived when oftentimes people did not, so may be in some cases a link to such people. That Estonia is now a prosperous place means some people now have the money to commission such restorations.

@@cv990a4 That's some incredible history! Thank you so much for sharing that 😊!
I think I heard that wardrobe sigh with relief and say “thank goodness I am in good hands finally.”
It is always rewarding to see your transform a worn and battered piece of furniture to a shinning example of your talent and artistry.
Great title for a mystery novel. “The Blood in the Wardrobe”.

Lol, you beat me to it
You've saved another one! The workmanship is beautiful.
❤ you are probably the best antique furniture restorer in KZread ,thank you
Wow!!! This restoration is absolutely 💯 incredible! Beautiful job 😊 Also, with your perfectionist eye, you can tell you were born to restore and give a new life to the past.
Every restoration you do is better than the last one. You’re simply the best!
Your knowledge of how to correct flaws in the wood is brilliant. This is definitely one of your best restorations. Really enjoyed this one. Thank you.
You are the Merlin of furniture restoration. Your expert touch provides the magic needed to bring these antiques back to life, as the original carpenters intended it.
It's always a good start to the day when there's new AT video to watch 😊
That was an incredible amount of work, and a beautiful result.
Best yet. You can’t be beat when it comes to outcomes that are, genuine, beautiful, well researched, and masterfully done. Most people working in your “timeframe” - that is, vintage that is just reaching the antique stage - don’t seem to respect the items they are working on. They change, or cheat, or replace because it’s easier. You provide a master class in why they shouldn’t do it at all! 💕🇨🇦
It always amazes me how much alcohol cleans wood. I really love how you light shellac the wood before staining you are really nourishing the wood. Your a master of restoration and your skills are to die for. You always do such a bang up job on all your pieces. Such honourship in your work. PS love the bow ties, first time I have seen you use them! Also the wood knots how you made them strong with half deep cuts is amazing. The things one can learn off of you are priceless.
I literally cheered when you showed the matching handles! Your work on this piece is amazing. I loved the trim repair and creation. This is a gorgeous restoration.
I'm impressed that you cut and installed the dutchman without a templating jig. Nicely done. I've been watching your videos for sometime and will be attempting to patch some furniture gouges using your router techniques very soon.
I absolutely love when you agree to take on these old pieces of history! There are so many people out here grabbing up beautiful old wood furniture for the sole purpose of giving them a tacky paint job for resale. Breaks my heart. But I can always count on you to not only understand the craftsmanship but to know how to restore them correctly. I swear I can feel the sighs of relief when they know it’s your hands doing the repairs. This beauty needed you. Thank you kind sir! 🤗😎
Stunning! I loved the fix for the doors, hadn't seen that before, but what a great fix. Also loved the 'bowtie', very cool technique. Thank you so much for posting!
And just like that, the bloody crime is gone! Great work!

You made this look perfect. I really like that you pay good attention to detail & that you are thorough when repairing different items. I love watching your videos.
I really appreciate how you respect the history and soul of everything you restore and don't make it look "brand new."
WOW! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Would put it in my home in a New York minute!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wonderfully appropriate restoration. You fixed what was broken while preserving the character that was earned by virtue of its age, PERFECT! You expertly paid respect to this piece of furniture, BRAVO, AND WELL SIR!
Ahti, this was another transformation that took my breath away. Your skills are unmatched. Only YOU could have made this piece so beautiful again. Thank you for what you do. I love watching your videos. They always leave me stunned.

One of the best things about your videos is seeing brand new (to me) techniques 😊
Loved the the bow trick and the way you saved the crooked doors! great work. I’m always learning new things on this channel, and absolutely excited for each new video. Thank you!
Breathtaking! This piece of furniture will definitely "WARD THE ROBES" for many more years. How amazing that you found those matching handles and key plates! This was meant to be! Master craftsmanship again. Your dedication to the "unwarping" of the doors was ingenious. I never realized that knot holes could be adjusted. Well done and very satisfying to watch. ❤
So beautiful. I think you are the most skilled woodworking craftsman I see on KZread, and I think I watch all of them! I’m also jealous of your lovely workshop and your tools!
Wow, at first I really didn't think it would be worth all the effort. What a gorgeous piece!
You have the patience of Job. A great artisan in every way. Love you videos.
I have never seen anyone restore furniture as PERFECT as you do! Your skills are no match to any other person! You are a true ARTIST ! Your videos are just Awesome! Have a great day!
You're right, the inside looks like a murder scene! 😳 You made it gorgeous! ❤
I recently bought an old wardrobe with warped doors.Know how to fix that now! As always, I love to see you French polishing the heck out of an old piece.Shines like a jewel! ❤🇳🇱
Very masterfully restored. That wardrobe is a really handsome piece and deserves a place of pride in any home.
This robe is now a centrepiece for any bedroom. Nicely restored.
Another vintage piece beautifully saved by the Furniture Restoration PhD!
Just loved the way that foot came out of nowhere to help with the removal of the wood board, what a clever usage of “alternative” tools and the murdered cabinet looks stunning 👍🏻
I always find myself smiling when i look at the finished piece! ❤
We all think we keep clean houses. Until you come along and show us how much dirt is really on our furniture. That is one of many insights I gain from your upload. You always show, teach, share something I had no idea about. Thank You. (You know it's not just for the learning; I truly enjoy your work.) Looking forward to the next lesson.
👍👍👍💯💯💯🤔😍👏👏👏💥💥💥💖
Beautiful. I am amazed at the repairs. Your solution to the two warped doors was amazing.
Your vids are always great. Thanks for the upload.
Absolutely stunning! I love watching the elite skill and craftsmanship you bring to each project. It truly will 'ward the robes' for years to come.
It is wonderful to see how Ahti's work requires physical strength, knowledge, aesthetic sensibility, and feeling. Awesome.
Wundervolle Restauration👍👍👍❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹🙋🏼♀️🌺🌺🌺
Wow, the result of the restoration is absolutely magnificent! Once again, you show what a master you are. What a great moment you gave me this Sunday morning. Bravo, Ahti!👏👏👏🌷
Possibly the most beautiful result from your channel I have seen yet! A pleasure to see you work.
Like the Phoenix, you resurrected a beautiful artifact. It will live for another hundred years!
This is deeply impressive, but what is most impressive is Ahti himself: "ward the robes for decades to come" is beautifully put, and I suspect most native English speakers would have no idea of the root meaning of wardrobe. I could not even say "hello" in Estonian, and yet here is Ahti dazzling us with his restoration skills AND amusing us with sophisticated word-play in a foreign language. Humbling.
Hello from USA! Love your work!
You got this old girl back to glowing health. I really like the way you always manage to repair everything but still maintain the character that only a genuinely old piece of furniture can have. I learnt a few new tricks in this video that I will, hopefully, never have to use😂.
To think what this wardrobe has been through n has seen is amazing. It now can live on for another 100 years. My heart gets so excited when I see one of your new videos is up. I could sit n watch you all day. You are amazing to watch. This wardrobe is gorgeous once again. You know exactly what to do with each problem that rises. It’s totally beautiful. ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟🌟
Beautiful. I love to see these throw-away pieces of furniture brought back to life.
Fantastic! Another beautiful restoration.
As a dutchman I enjoyed the "dutchman patch" ! Perfect!
Absolutely Beautiful. That's a gorgeous piece of history and you've given it another hundred year at least. Awesome work!
I'm at a loss for words! Just an amazing restoration! Utterly beautiful craftsmanship!
So pretty! It still looks old, but not worn out. Amazing that you found pulls of the exact same style! I laughed at warding the robes.
It's absolutely beautiful. I love these old wardrobes. We have one that my husband uses for his uniforms. It isn't this nice but it's just a little bit of history we can call ours.
I love that you know what "wardrobe" literally means, when so many people are now shortening it to "'robe" - demonstrating their ignorance. Languages are so interesting when you take the trouble to study their evolution.🤔 Beautiful wardrobe now it shines!😍
Totally awesome. You are one of the BEST RESTORERS on KZread. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Beautiful! You are a magician in disguise. This piece really needed your magic hands! Good job!!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
it's like you're mad at the damage and refuse to let them get the better of you. I find that determination has become the most admirable quality about you and it's what makes me watch your videos beginning to end. Well done, sir.
Beautiful restoration job, and a master class in patience and perseverance. You never gave up on this piece no matter how frustrating it was to deal with the years of damage and the warping. Whatever you charged someone for this work, it was well worth it! Lovely piece!
The work immediately grew in size after such a good reconstruction!👍
“The Mystery of the Bloody Wardrobe.” Sounds like an Agatha Christie novel. 🙂 Beautiful restoration!
Your videos are a pleasure to watch. No crazy music. The subtitles are to the point. And Your work is exceptional!!!❤
It’s not just nice again but it’s gorgeous. Truly beautiful work.
It is more than safe to say you are a master of your craft. I am astonished every time you complete a project. I feel every piece looks better than the first day it was made. Incredible work. Thank you for sharing with us.
Hi, I love to watch your videos. You do fantastic work.. I just wished your shop was closer to me. I just picked up a beautiful antique chair in a charity store for $30.00 USD! One of the leggs is cracked, so you can't sit in it. The cushions are hand embroidered, and the beautiful hand carving, is amazing. It needs your magic restoration.. 😅
I never like it when the music plays because I know it is about over and I could watch him for hours!! God bless you and your loved ones from America!
The finished wardrobe is amazingly beautiful!!! I always look forward to your videos! Thank you so much! 😊
Straightening the doors was very interesting and one had no idea those techniques were used. Thanks for posting.
Here's to warding robes! Another phenomenal transformation!
I am astounded by the beauty of this wardrobe. Your work is impeccable. Thanks for sharing.
I really like that these vids drop for me so that i see them at breakfast time; great way to wake up gently.
Incredible, always fascinated by the way the new wood disappears and looks just like the old
Nice to see old furniture is getting a second life. I like old stuff. Rusty with a nice patina. Always leave things as they are. Found a lot of stuff at scrapyards. Once I came across 2 Industrial Philips Lamps from 1950. Saw them on the trailer of someone at the scrapyard, gave him 25 eu and now they're hanging at the kitchen table at my sons house. In Amerika the sold them for $600 a piece hahaha. Keep up the good work. Then again good tools saves a lot of time and you have them ...
From crime scene to masterpiece. Beautiful!
All those broken ornaments were used to kill a vampire inside the wardrobe, hence the blood. 🤣🤣 Impressive work as always, I wish I could have something this beautiful in my home.
An artisan and multi-skilled craftsman. Another fantastic restoration, only possible through your skill and talent.
My goodness me, what a VERY impressive craftsman you are! I love to see beautiful old antiques brought back to life and you really are the best. Bravo! 👏
OMG! I had never thought of why it was called a wardrobe!! Lol 🤗 It’s gorgeous!!! I wouldn’t be able to find a single repair if I hadn’t watched you, other than the butterfly things in the bottom. And they add it it’s charm. Just beautiful🤗❤️🐝
I’m not surprised it took you twice as long than you planned. The amount of cracks and rebuilding was definitely a challenge I’m sure. Once again you brought it back from the brink of being tossed in the wood pile. Beautiful craftsmanship ❤️❤️
Beautifully done. It’s a lovely wardrobe and you’ve done it justice. Well done as always.
