In high school the halls of our school looked like something out of a movie…Beat Street maybe- break dancing up and down it and in the lunchroom…..blacks , whites,Asians and Latinos all getting their move on teaching and learning from one another. I miss those days! Remember my brothers and sisters-just as beauty is only skin deep so is color! We all laugh , cry ,feel sorrow and remorse. We are constantly being told how racist each other’s race is when in reality to those in power of the politicians we are all the same……breeders are using up their resources! Even if you’re rich you do t have the generational wealth and power that they have therefore you’ll never be one of them! We must band together to help one another and fight against the evil powers that be. Jesus is king! Much love ……now go dance !

When my son was about 11 years old he entered a Jaycee Relay Race. He’d never ran track before and didn’t know everybody wore shorts. He came in jeans, to everyone’s amusement. He ran the last leg for his team - and came away the fastest runner of the day, and made up considerable distance to win. This video made me think of that day. How I wish I had been able to see it, instead of only hear and read about it. I was a single mom and had to work. My son was an amazing athlete. ❤️

Hi Blyet, therein lies the problem. Gangs and criminality don't have to go hand-in-hand. You can have a connected sense of camaraderie without committing senseless, petty crimes. Nobody is worth going to prison over...or for.

+Weston James not so different from the sense of camaraderie 'gained' by those in the military, perpetuating a hypocritical, "politically-justified" culture of violence... Violence, maybe interspersed with racism, and international-grade 'tear and loot' mentality. That's the irony, the way everybody has a philosophical opinion on the persons involved in the 'criminal street gangs', but apparently disproportionately so, versus the "legal" gangs in the policing force, and the military divisions/organizations. It's just...peculiar nobody in most of the street gangs thought of the formality and propaganda, such as making up a law and drafting legislation, then applying the rigour of explicit uniform, terminology, 'conduct' and practice/authority structure. It's no real difference overall by unbiased perspective, it's just the street gangs (the criminal ones) seem to be more overt and upfront about their forceful ways, than the 'legal' gangs profess or admit to with themselves.

That's the way we remember them old bloods from the 90s like this!!

I saw a film clip from 1906, early silent film, of two young brothers doing almost those same moves. I think it was part of a documentary called, the history of black American dance. They also had a clip on there of a guy doing the Moonwalk, from the 1920s. Just goes to prove that there is nothing new, under Sun. We just grow up and do it all over again, thinking it's something brand new.

It took one crip to beat like 30 bloods in a dance. The bloods looked like they struggled to even stand up while the crip was killing it!
