fun fact: in the french version, they actually tranlated bloodletter as the "letter/message of blood" meaning, rather than the "paint-the-walls-crimson-red-wait-how-much-of-it-is-my-own" message. Then again, I suppose the english and japanese versions made the double-meaning intentional.

I'd let a few bosses by DS2 team in though, because they're my some of my favourite bosses from any game I've played. 3 had some cool fights, but 2 just tickles my fancy. Also the inability to respawn bosses in 3 gives me conniptions. Yeah it makes them seem more momentous, but I don't want to play through the entire game to redo one battle. Other than that, I'd say it'd be amazing

I think its the best starting weapon. A little less damage but the move set flows with dodging a lot more. Aka: you take less damage.

Niko Korpela Just wrote this as a comment, then I saw this thread about the Threaded Cane, so here goes my 2 cents: Well I used the Threaded Cane till I got my second Dex scalling weapon, blades of mercy. Sure, it had the lowest stats, but even with that, hitting enemies from the distance with that whip made you feel like a noble keeping in line thoose filthy plebs in the city. It ended up beeing my second weapon when it comes to pure dmg(blades of mercy are overpowered). And the pleasure of finishing an enemy while changing back from whip to sword makes me feel satisfied with what i did, that stab just before the enemy falls into the ground feels way better than cutting through enemies.

It was a glitch with the weapon shot when arcane gems are added. The Arcane damage added damage to EVERY SINGLE PELLET which means it's not just +60% damage added it's +60% x 10 PER SHOT! He had a video showing how OP the glitch was. IT WAS FIXED QUICKLY!

Tonitrus generally lasts long enough to get you from one lamp to the next, including bosses, so its durability isn't that much of a problem (especially since repairing weapons in Bloodborne is quite cheap). And you can use it to tear apart bagmen as soon as you get it, which is always a plus.

Bloodborne really went quality over quantity and it went beautifully

Aw yeah, the threaded cane! Used that sucker for my entire 1st playthrough. Beat every boss with it (at the expense of my sanity sometimes) then upgraded to Gehrman's giant fuck you sword/scythe combo for new game plus. More people should use the damn thing! It's great!

@@d4arken3ds0ul Good players know that paper doesn't really buff your damage in pvp and don't use it at all, haha. The old hunter bone is clearly the correct option but if you are going to use a buff...it makes more sense to use the empty phantasm shell

Oddly specific sound to recognise as it’s probably generic, but the church pick when switching modes makes exactly the same sound as the Megacorp chicken bots do when you attack them in Ratchet and Clank 2...

It can be, but don't expect to land that f*ck off big attack all the time, it take a absolutely forEVER to wind up. However, when you land it, you really do feel like Saitama sometimes. Just practice using it a lot.

I love the threaded cane. The speed of the weapon is its biggest draw, while not being too spammy like the blades of mercy. it makes the game more difficult, but it has style.

Brayach Dragonbane the church pick also has both,in both modes and in 2 handed it does only thrust damage. Absolutely better in all senses

I used Cane a lot. It's useful in battle with father Gascoine.

The Chikage one is the most accurate, go around Hunter's Dream and look at all of the death spots, 90% of them are afk people with Chikage transformed

Baloney! I used the threaded cane as my main weapon in Bloodborne! I experimented with other weapons, sure, but nothing, NOTHING beat the versatility of the threaded cane.
