I never understood why she was so emotional about something as trivial as this until I made the connection that she was probably never given anything to her in her life (as a gift that is). She literally doesn't know how to react, she know what joy is, in theory, but don't know how it feel.

Well, there is also the fact that I think that hair ornament belonged to lady Maria originally, and the doll does seem to actually have a spiritual connection with Maria, the person the doll is based off of, and thus a possession of maria being given to her seems to bring soem sense of joy.

@@alumlovescake I always thought she felt better after Maria died because she unknowingly felt chained to Maria's suffering in the Nightmare, along with Maria's guilt of the Hamlet incident and church experiments. Though she was chained to this suffering, I'm sure she could still feel attached to things that Maria had a positive connection with

Here's the thing. You can know all about a subject up and down and still never get it. Let me use two examples here. Batman and Robocop. Both pop culture icons and both heavy with information. Let's start with Batman. So we all know Bruce's origin story, why he is what he is. And it's one thing to read "Then the parents were shot by a mugger but he got away." But if we see it on the silver screen or TV show. It hits different because we see the grief on the characters face. Reading text lacks that human touch. We all know what it is to be kind but to experience it is something entirely different

@@mattieonutube273 I think they didn’t give the characters lip movements to make it feel more like a surreal dream. Or the fact that your character is crazy and is actually hearing voices in his head, as when your character reaches one insight is when the doll comes to life and starts speaking. The lack of lip movement makes it feel like nobody is real or actually a person, just a lack of emotion throughout the entire game feels creepy.

the abandoned place is the real workshop, the hunters dream is just another one of the workshops, if you look around in the hunters dream you see other "Towers", i think these are other workshops for the other hunters in the world
