Bloodborne - Cleric Beast [Orchestral Arr. / Remake] (320 kbps)

Музыка

It's Halloween and I really wanted to experiment with choirs!
My goal was not to create a 1:1 remake and I did change a few things in my arrangement.
As always: I did not use any sheet music, MIDI, etc. in the process.
DAW: FL Studio 12.
Total working time: 9 hours.
Arrangement and production by 4goezm.
Original composition by Tsukasa Saitoh.

I love the choral slow ascension through the song, its slightly slower than the original which really accentuates the chord to my ear! Delicious crunch!

I love how you replaced the violas with cello basses. It adds another level of creep-out to this.

I'm happy you noticed :) I also added some scratched metals on top of the double basses and celli, although they might be hard to hear.

@@4goezm My one gripe, though is that you didn't use the original lyrics for the latin crew, but it's fine it still rocks.

@@weasel003gaming7 Yes, unfortunately that is not possible for me. There are few libraries which actually have a complete vocal scripting language and usually they are really expensive and have other drawbacks. So my approach was to not try to mimic the original lyrics, but to simply choose syllables that support the melody and focus more on getting the choir to sound realistic. I have to say, by now, I have become somewhat used to these lyrics :D Thank you for your nice words :)

Hi, thanks for your comment :) Sorry for the later reply, I didn't have access to my KZread account for quite some time and I am also very busy with work unfortunately. I did this 5 years ago, so I don’t remember all the details, but I'll try: I usually start by figuring out the original song by ear and then think about how I can convey the emotions I want to convey, based on the musical ideas of the original song, with the libraries and samples that are available to me. That often means that I change melodies, harmonics, structure and of course the instrumentation. I don't really have a recipe for that to be honest, it just comes together over time. But I didn't really do anything special with FL Studio that you wouldn't be able to do in any other DAW and I rarely use effects in orchestral arrangements. I need the most time to figure out an instrumentation that works well for the idea that I have for an arrangement. Samples will of course always sound different compared to an original recording and you have very limited control over single instruments. So I think there is never a general recipe when you work with virtual instruments and you just have to know the strengths and weaknesses of your personal sample/library collection in the context of your musical style. I hope this helped!

Thank you! One reason why I do these arrangements from scratch is that it forces you to develop your own style of arrangement. I don't really like the idea of uploading project files, because some people would simply reuse the content. I hope you can understand.
