Blood on our Side: Mexico's Forensic Investigators | Witness
In the city of Juarez, Ana Gonzalez works day in and day out picking up fragments of bullets, glass and samples of blood.
The work is relentless and emotionally exhausting, compounded by cartel violence that comes from being a Mexican city so close to its neighbour, the United States.
As Gonzalez grapples with the sheer volume of homicides in one of the region’s deadliest cities, she and her team undergo a special departmental inspection.
If they pass, Gonzalez’s team will receive crucial support from the US government to help them with their investigations.

May God be with her, her team, and those fighting for good. Their brave stories need to be told. If the United States demand fuels their nightmare then they, in my opinion, have a duty to better fund & support all types of measures to stop it.
What a frustrating job. Almost none of these murders are solved despite the efforts of these investigators....

Most of us complain about are lives being hard, but I've never witnessed what these people see in one day in my whole life. The resilience and bravery courage they show everyday, should make the rest of us. Really take a look at how we live and stop complaining....

The government allows this to happen. Kickbacks can make any Mexican official look the other way. It's a cartel state.

@@disrael2101 Israel having (illegal) nuclear weapons is the cause of so many of these troubles, maybe rather than always looking to blame Iran, the Palestinians, Syrians and others? Who are, in reality, living with Israel's nuclear weapons threatening them 24/7, 365 day a year, we should all be concentrating on putting Israel back in its place in this world, by removing their illegal nuclear ability by any means possible. Whatever it takes. The USA can still claim to be protecting Israel, in case of any attack against them, but more importantly, it will prevent Israel from projecting power it has no right to have. The hypocrisy of Israel, and the USA, is simply staggering! Crying about Iran's nuclear program, while having its own illegal nuclear weapons targetting Iran 24/7?, and all while Israel carries on with its mass genocide of the Palestinian, in their illegal criminal endless land grab, and in front of the world today?, the internet has made it impossible for them to effectively hide it any more, like they did through the 60s 70s and the 80s. Yet still Israel remains beyond the rule of law, today, shielded from accountability of its own war crimes, and crimes against humanity, by its powerful patron, the United States. Since 1966, the U.S.A. has used its Security Council veto 84 times, (that's more than the other four permanent members combined), and 44 of those vetoes have been on resolutions related to the UN punishing Israel for its war crimes, and crimes against humanity. 44 times the USA has prevented the world from seeing any kind of justice, and 44 times the U.S.A. has prevented the UN from forcing Israel to stop its mass slaughter.
