Blood For Profit: The Dark Side Of The Blood Donation Centers

Фильм және анимация

Blood Business sheds light on the opaque trade of the blood plasma industry. From the impoverished streets of Cleveland Ohio to the golden shores of Switzerland's Lake Zurich, the film explores the intricacies around the business of blood.
Plasma, a component of blood that is highly sought-after, now costs more per liter than petrol. Used by pharmaceutical companies to create expensive medications, this precious liquid has become a lucrative commodity. This film investigates one of the largest corporations in this flourishing market, with profits soaring over €1 billion (US$1.13 billion). Their donation centers are mostly found in poor neighborhoods in the US, and they pay donors for their blood - a practice forbidden in Europe. For impoverished Americans, blood donations have become a source of income, presenting a real risk to their health, as they lie about their conditions and donate repeatedly to make ends meet. Other donors give blood in the hope of helping others, but the reality of where their donations actually go can be somewhat different. We investigate the global trade in blood and plasma donations.

This video is horribly twisting facts. There is no conspiracy here. Try to walk into any medical facility with a camera and you will be told to leave due to privacy laws. HIPPAA. The people sitting in those chairs have a right to their privacy. If you decide to do your own research you will see the extensive screening process those companies do before letting anyone donate. It is much more extensive than what you are led to believe. Also if you do your own research you will find out exactly what types of products the companies produce with that plasma. People with hemophilia can leave their homes without fear of becoming injured and bleeding to death. People with cancer or autoimmune diseases have an increased quality of life. In the video they talked to one woman for maybe three minutes who receives one of the products and it was very downplayed. Do you even remember that part? I've watched many videos on this channel but this will be my last. I know most documentaries lean towards one side a of the story or another but this wasn't leaning. This was more fiction than fact. I'm disappointed and have lost all respect for Real Stories. I like information and facts. If I want fiction I'll watch a movie.

I’m in the U.S.A. and the state of affairs here is that the government *doesn’t recognize the human right of people* to grow plants for their own use, *while at the same time* it grants patent rights to biotech industry corporations *who are redesigning living organisms for profit.* This isn’t *freedom.* It is *domination by the few over the many.*

Katharina No, it *isn’t* right! My point in making the statement was that it’s ridiculous for people to *ask for permission* to grow plants *for their own use,* as it has been basic to human survival for many thousands of years. Food plants? Why just *food* plants? Aren’t the clothes on your back made from plants, or are you a person that prefers textiles made from petroleum products? Most traditional peoples also make medicine from plants. Why does the US government *refuse* to acknowledge the basic human right of people to grow plants for their own use? The only role any government should have in this is to protect wild species from invasion and damage to their ecosystems from domesticated cultivars. Instead of *acknowledging this right,* the government here is acting as a promoter of the genetic bastardizing biotech industry corporations are shoving on the population *without their ability to choose whether or not they want to buy them.* Capitalists here are always whining about market choices and the mythical “free market” when by their actions they have shown that they don’t want consumers to be able to choose whether or not they buy items containing genetically modified organisms. Hopefully, you can now see the domination problem? I can’t explain it any more clearly, as I’m not gifted in that department. My apologies!

On the other hand, if you don’t have a donation card during in need of blood transfusion, you have to bring a relative or family member to donate blood.

They can be pretty aggressive about phone calls. I don't qualify for Power Red as I barely make the cut for whole blood. In 2017, I was turned away for low iron, twice. I think they should raise the bar for allowing people to donate double red cells. That is especially risky for a female donor. Listen to your body. Many people cannot or should not donate. When I donate, I don't do it the maximum number of times allowed. I'm already scheduled for another appointment to give whole blood, so they haven't bothered me. But those phone calls can be quite annoying when they do call. Ask them to remove you from their phone list. They'll eventually stop calling. You don't have to give them a reason why; it's none of their business. Block their phone numbers if you have to. Or you can add their numbers to your contact list and have it go straight to voicemail if you see their name on the screen. Then delete the voicemail.

Andi Lois This is more than a mortal battle; it is a spiritual battle. There are two fronts you can fight on; the sp[iritual front and the earthly front. The spiritual front has to be won on our knees before Almighty God, crying out to Him for all the pride, hatred, murder, greed, oppression, covetousness, and that exists in our own countries, and in our neighbourhoods, and even in our own hearts. We can stand in the gap while we pray. the earthly sphere of activity may be writing to authorities, local, state, federal governments, members of congress or parliament, Big business. It may be via social media, or by some other means. Be careful what organization you give money to. Unless you can be absolutely certain of the integrity of such groups; don't. Better to give to some reputable charity like Voice of the Martyrs (Australia), or Mukti Mission ( India) caring for widows and orphans and the like; there are a number of others I can recommend. While these groups do not have anything directly to do with the content of this video, by assisting the, they can help very very needy people to get some daily practical help for living and to earn an income themselves in some cases. But God will lead you if you are willing to be instructed by Him.

Hospitals have become quite dangerous places, I was told I needed immediate and urgent heart surgery (I have medical insurance) without which I'd die. When I refused, the doctor reserved his opinion, and said there was nothing wrong with my heart. And this in a highly respected hospital. The NHS in the UK bled out my mother to death via a drug overdose involving her kidneys and a catheter..I was told by friends who've had the same thing happen to their parents, that this is standard practice! It's a nightmare.

I bloody knew this was going on especially in my area in Scotland by unscrupulous GP's. There is one GP in particular who was taking viles of blood from his patients...me included! My instincts were that too much blood was being taken for no reason. When I spoke to another patient she said she too felt that the same GP took a lot of blood samples from her every time she went for an appointment. I also found out that this GP alongside a few others from different Surgeries/Centres in my area took working holidays in Africa. My gut instinct told me that they were selling blood plasma overseas. Who would have believed me 8 years ago.....no one. I was classed as an abusive patient and removed from most GP Surgeries because I was questioning the questionable. Thank you for this video as it verifies what I had ALWAYS known. The Truth will come Out. 🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Well close by there is a place that buy blood and it's in a poor neighborhood, the majority of the people selling blood there are whites. No Hispanics or Chinese. whites and then blacks. America is not a country, you can do whatever you want here if you have enough money to bribe politicians (they called it lobbying ) you can have a law hidden in other public laws to make it legal. There was no ''gold standard'' for the HIV test, meaning there is no purified isolation of HIV to test against. There is no ''gold standard'' for the Covid 19 test, meaning there is no purified isolation of Covid 19 to test against. They do not know if the so called virus is even real. Those who tested positive with tests that were no good at all For HIV since they never isolated the Virus were given a Chemo drug called AZT which kills people because it destroys your immune system. So it looked like they died of AIDS. With the Covid BS many were put on ventilators which will kill you, 9 time out of 10. The real cause of all the sick people dieing was they were given the wrong treatment more times then not I think. Wireless anything, can also cause shortness of breath and many of the other symptoms many had. Wireless makes your blood thick and leads to all sorts of illnesses. Another thing that cane cause symptoms like that could be a cytokine storm from a vaccine. A number of doctors have been talking about that one as well. Maybe the cause was from the flu vaccine. They do after all use live animal tissue to make all vaccines as well as live fetal tissue. Every animal bird and humans have coronviruses in them. This is one report about the autopsy's that were done.WHO apparently told everyone not to do those kzread.info/dash/bejne/q2qcmraCqMjNYco.html So I have to wonder how long it might take wireless to make your blood clot or if it was in the flu vaccines. One doctor in Texas gave his patients blood thinners and that helped them. To date no one has ever checked the flu vaccines to see if they were contaminated. To date every vaccine they have tried to make for Corona viruses either kill you or the animals or make them extremely sick. They get a cydokine storm, when they are put with with someone or the animals that has a cornavirus. They used children back in the 60's and stopped trying due to deaths and extreme illness.. Then again they tried after SARS that time they tested it on animals only. Again death and extreme illness. There are other vaccines that have done that as well. Dengue is the one I think they got the cydokine storm problem.

We get two fundamental types of morality: “master morality" and "slave morality". Master morality values pride and power, while slave morality values kindness, empathy, and sympathy. According to Friedrich Nietzsche, masters are creators of morality; slaves respond to master morality with their slave morality, devaluing that which the master values and the slave does not have. As master morality originates in the strong, slave morality originates in the weak. Because slave morality is a reaction to oppression, it vilifies its oppressors. In master morality, individuals define what is good based on whether it benefits that person and their pursuit of self-defined personal excellence.

It looked like this 10 years ago in Europe. Can’t imagine how it is now after virus. I went with my college friend but not as a donor. The chairs were full and he had to wait to donate plasma. It was explained to me that the blood is tested first to make sure the donor is healthy.

I remember when I got my blood transfusion, it was so cold going in my arm it hurt. The nurse wrapped a warm towel around the area of my arm that helped a little. But I'm still not feeling well many years later..

@darlingUSA1 Our countries and families are going to quit on us, however - in some parts of the world, they already have to varying degrees. Matthew 10:34 "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 and a man's enemies will be the members of his household." Satan is the god of this world, it is his domain even though the Lord God is ultimately in control. Linda is correct that Satan's atrocities, as prophesied throughout the Bible but especially in Revelation, are bigger than us and that we can't stop them from happening. All we can do is keep our eyes on Jesus, stay alert to the many false christs who will arise (including the Beast), encourage one another and share with those who will listen. We can't fix the world, but we can endure.

Brilliant journalism. I for one appreciate your efforts! It’s a very sad thing, that a few very, very rich and entitled people gain by taking the original “good deeds” of some people who want to help others less fortunate in the world by twisting what these kind souls have done by their actions, into such insipid, self serving producers of wealth that are void of ethics or morals. When it comes to the poorest of the poor having to sell their plasma twice a week, when the Red Cross advices this be done once a month...it literally sickens and deeply saddens me to the quick that these poor people literally make themselves physically ill to fulfill their need/desire...which is often the only way they have to buy their drugs, which are then included in their next Plasma drop-off. Disgusting that these enormous BIG PHARMACEUTICAL companies that were mentioned in this excellent documentary.

I used to work as a quality assurance specialist for a plasma firm, in a donor facility. They call them "donors" because they are only being compensated for their time, not the product. If they paid people for the product itself they'd have to pay them thousands instead of $20. Regarding the drug testing... The company I worked for at the time (Alpha Therapeutic Corporation) only tested for opiates, and only on the donor's first two donations. I'm disappointed that no one on that side of the industry would talk to you, but I understand why. They are trying to protect their donor's identities as well as their proprietary practices.
