    What a dramatic episode! Almost electrocuted, speaking German and then Ratty looses his tail ! The jetter didn't cut it, thedrilling neither, so the angle grinder hat to come out! It's almost too much!

    I’m not sure you can bend pvc like that for that matter. Not sure if that’s the same white pipe we use in the states, but I would expect what we use would crack and break if I tried to split it open like he did this here.

    My guess, probably sediment from either a renovation job or during construction all washed down to a low point in the drainage system. Like he says was probably there for a while, but the wet wipes got caught and lifted it.

    I remember a plumber telling me that he got called to a high rise apartment building ...10th floor. A tenant had flushed alot of clumping cat litter down the toilet. It was a night mare to fix.Several floors were involved!

    At about 10:00 that hole with fingers inside was like getting ones hand stuck in the cookie jar. I searched for some forceps on the web; long slender pliers if you will. I think they would maybe extract the debris. The forceps can be bought on numerous websites, and they are not too costly, and they come in various shapes in order to go around corners and the like. Hey, Dr. Drain Addict. Forceps Ratty!

    Honestly that's exactly what came to my mind when he couldn't get it out. HOWEVER did you see that piece of concrete? That was a humungous piece of concrete to be in a drain. After seeing the piece of concrete, I realized that it obviously would not have fit thru that whole. But it doesn't negate the fact that those forceps/pliers are useful as hell! I love them.     In 1980 my uncle’s labour hit an underground gas pipe and it started leaking, he wrapped the split in denzo tape poured a half cubic meter of concrete around it and its still there to today 😂

    I knew shit was about to come down when you opened an umbrella before unscrewing the cap to the pipe. Not that I blame you, given that the weather forecast was shitty with a chance of corn. Although the corn part turned out to be inaccurate it seems, much to Ratty’s disappointment. And speaking of Ratty, I never would have thought that Ratty’s tail can not only be detached but also reattached. Guess you learn something new every day. Excellent work Ollie!

    When you rinse out a bucket that concrete was mixed in, there's always a degree of mix still in the bucket. If they just dump that down a toilet it will settle together in a low / flat spot in the pipe and set as one piece.
