Yeah, true! If you wanted that type of design on your walls, you’d have to pay quite a bit of money for it.

I must say that is the most impressive/invasive root system ever! Fig tree - remind me not to grow one. Good job getting to the root of the issue! I do like the comment "oh, we just rent..." I hate to be the owner stuck with this issue!!

In the USA we have "Weeping willow " trees they attack plumbing pipes and in AUS your Trees eat pipes, houses and mabe small animals. Great job thanks.....dan

danc007 Try Cottonwood trees on for size! They get big fast and will clog a leach field real fast! Add to it the trees propensity for sudden limb failure and it’s a mess of a tree! Will never forget the sound of a 1 1/2’-2’ diameter by 40’ long limb suddenly failing on a neighbors tree! Crushed his brand new just installed the day before chain link fence! Missed the newish car though.

Japanese knotweed can grow up to 10cm per day, and because of this rapacious growth, it has been known to cause damage to building structures and substructures by targeting weak points, such as cracks in masonry, and attempting to grow through them. (Got that from google) its difficult to get a mortgage on a house with it growing nearby and its difficult to get rid of. You have to kill it all at the same time or you're forever chasing it lol

Most trees and shrubs will do this when the roots are long enough to reach the pipes. Plant roots are designed to follow water, where it is located. Even the tiniest hole or loose pipe joint will attract them. My family had junipers ( evergreen shrubs) that blocked us up occasionally. CalledRooter rooter or Rapid Rooter every so often.

Roots on the wall on the inside of the house are cool looking. They look like textured wallpaper that many for which people would pay a lot of money. It is too bad that they are so destructive.

Great job as usual. Must be the nature of Aussy where certain types of plants go gangbusters seeking out moisture. Have a similar issue in NZ with my rain-water tank house supply (no mains). Tank built of concrete but certain tree the ex planted kept rooting through, making for drain down and clean out until i gave darn tree a haircut at ground level.

Those roots are just crazy.....you would think they would go deep underground, not up through the walls! 🌳🌳🌳Happy jetting!🌳🌳🌳

DA, great job as usual. I watched a septic system go in today on a house here in the Philippines. My first. They hand dug a 4x4x4 hole, put some rock and sand in bottom then just set concrete blocks in with holes banged in the sides. No mortar. Than a wood frame with 3 inches concrete for a top. I shook my head as they said they're all done like this.

We have a tree in Britain, often grown as a bush, called Buddleia. It 's a beauty and great for wildlife but.... it loves lime so much that it will grow in and through cement, plaster and concrete without the need of any soil. You can often spot it growing straight out of the side of a building 10 metres from the ground.

When an earthquake rumbles the bricks away, there's tree roots in the shape of a house and you can move right back in!

This is why you never plant gum trees near homes or drains!

I think that's more like "should never" but don't forget that the neighbour plants his trees on the other side of his house so they get your drains rather than his.

That's the craziest thing I've ever seen! A tree eating and living off a house...The Day of the Triffids has come!

Had a huge tree at my house for decades since I was young. Tree literally grew to 40 - 50 feet high. Base was easily 4 feet wide. Shaded my house and neighboring houses who absolutely loved it. Started to cause foundation cracks and plumbing problems. Killed the tree. Roots died after several years, still have to fix foundation but plumbing problems are gone. Going to rebuild house in a few years. This time I'll be using palm trees for shade instead.

@PvtMadnage - Bro. Matthew not in my case. The most it did was crack the foundation a bit and cause plumbing problems. I can fix the foundation by mud jacking and breaking out sections to pour new ones. I got lucky and never had an invasion of roots like this house.

I'd be moving. Old apartment I used to live at had some cracks. after we moved out I hear that the ceiling blew upstairs and someone got crushed and paralysed for life. You cannot live in a house like that safely.

Economics is my first thought. Id suspect that the tree would be council owned so I've no idea how an owner would let it get to that stage. Irrespective of what if any deal the owner and council may or may not have, the house is too far gone now. Obviously going to rent it out till its condemned and then sell it to a developer who will knock it down and smash some townhouses up on the land.

1. Cut the tree down. 2. Cut a groove in the stump with a chain saw. 3. Pour 1-2 pints of Remedy Ultra Herbicide in the fresh cut groove. 4. The Remedy will kill the roots, the secret is to pour the Remedy in the fresh cut groove (about 1 inch deep, 16-18 inches long, or cut an X in the stump 12 inches by 12 inches).

So why haven't they chopped down the tree? Doesn't matter how nice it looks it has to go.. before evenmore damage occurs. The roots are travelling 20 metres plus, that is crazy! Found your channel a few days ago... absolutly addicted! You do an awesome job!

DA, I'd like to know if you're hosed are crimped with quick disconnect fittings or threaded on? You do great work and have inspired me to take me plumbing to the next level with jetting.

When planting trees or buying or building a house, consider where the trees and shrubs will be or are when making your plans. cutting down the tree is a big bummer for the tree, but you can see what roots are capable to destroy. You can the tree or place the differently if you are having it built.

Was that sewer? A man that clears my drains and gives a pressure wash can work at my house any day!

The roots in the walls shouldn't to be viewed as beautiful... They should to be viewed as Terrifying... That home's Residency Permit needs to be revoked until the structural Integrity of the Walls and Foundation can be verified as safe!

That tree is going to pull that house down it happened here in New York to my aunts house there was a huge mega huge oak tree in her backyard and it’s roots destroyed the rear wall of the house so bad that the entire wall collapsed from the 4th floor down to the basement they finally got rid of the tree and had to rebuild the house almost completely!!! One good thing was she was able to dig the basement out down another four feet!!!

Trees are so beautiful growing right next door to houses but by the time you realise how destructive they are it’s too late.

Wow, I didn't recon I would be stuck to the computer waching video after video of drains beeing jetted. somehow facinating... There is a few things I'm wondering about: How much hose do you have on the jetting reel? And have you ever used all of the jetting hose inside the pipe? Do you actually need so much hose on the reel? I see it's causing you some extra work/irritation when the hose get unwinded and then stuck on the side of the reel. I saw that you used all of the thin one in yesterdays vid, but i recon that one is only 10 meters?
