I'm an engineer (and an avid BigClive watcher) and I like watching this stuff too. I think many engineers really enjoy infrastructure building over making plastic infotainment gadgets. So yeah - it's important to keep the stuff that makes civilization possible in the back of your mind.

When the double barrel comes out you know shits going to get crazy.

@rats arsed if the pipe has a sag in it for whatever reason this can cause the mass to restrict the pipe further. Second of all it can allow debris which originally should have gone straight through the pipe to cause an obstruction like a stick being jammed between the concrete waste and the pipe which collects leaves and everything else. Not to mention that the pipe is a certain diameter and if reduced will restrict the amount of water able to flow through thus causing flooding. This is not just random shit, I am a plumbing apprentice so i know this basic info

Can’t believe I’m watching this 😂, here in Florida the water and sewer is up in arm over wipes, flushable don’t disintegrate as advertised. Oh, and a stroller was found in the pipes.

This is the second time I watched the video, awesome as the first time.

He called it "scale" but it looked like leftover concrete that some lazy ass backwashed out of the drum and then just washed it away to end up down the sewer. Maybe in the concrete biz, that's what scale is... leftover, disposed-of concrete ?

Thats exactly what it is, we deal with guys washing concrete slurry into drain all the time & if its not that then if tile grout or FLC in building drains requiring concrete dissolver & mechanical cleaning - a expensive process.

Use a shovel for these kinds of jobs as you never know what people will throw into these drains. You don't want to be picking up trash with your gloved hands and get a surprise poke from a needle.

There were people in London (mid 19th century I believe) who made their living hunting coins and lesser things in the sewers. The sewers were tidal so if they didn't get out in time they would drown in sewage.
