Can't believe some people still can't make a difference between a Streamer's persona and who they really are, Blitzstream already expressed how appreciative he was of Hikaru and his praise, as for being overrated I don't think anyone who got a draw against Magnus and Alireza among others would deserve to be qualified as such

Nobody can deny that Kevin is extremely strong at calculations and tactics in online games, but neither Carlsen nor Alireeza took him too seriously, while he played the games of his life against them, hence the draw. I'm sure that if any IM, not even GM, unleashed their full force Kevin would not stand a chance

he's only NM because he stopped playing chess in IRL competitions for 15 years now, but he continued to play online and studied a lot chess to do his youtube videos

He has been living in Russia for 10 years, lives in France now, and has his own style... not your classical chess player... he played a game against Maxime - MVL... funny one... Kevin (Blitzstream) is good, but Maxime and Hikaru are on another planet... it just puts everything in perspective how good the super GMs are.

I randomly decided to watch high lvl chess and im so lost did he take his own queen at 10 min? How does he think so fast? I want to watch more.

He was making a preemptive move to recapture on that square if the opponent captured his queen. If the opponent didn't capture the queen, his premove would have had no effect. But it's a way to make a move you're expecting to have to make without using time off your clock.

Ok Hikaru, the guy beat So, MVL and you multiple times in blitz online, not to mention all the numerous GMs he regularly beat (see his streamings) and you doubt he is IM level?? The guy absolutely destroyed Eric Rosen in blitz online game and Eric is proven IM level. The only reason his FIDE rating is not higher is that he only plays online chess and he doesn't have time and motivation to play classical chess over the board, especially with all the work he does for his streaming

Well, I follow Kevin's streams and he gets beaten regularly by IMs. Of course, he also wins many of these games. I would say his winning/losing ratio with IMs is 50/50. He could definitely get the norms to be an IM, not sure about GM though.

@@amoreazione3563Si il s'y mettrait sérieusement il aurait un niveau équivalent à Étienne Bacrot, ils ont quasiment le même niveau de tactique ainsi qu'une rapidité de compréhension positionnelle équivalente, donc si il s'y mettrait sérieusement il aurait un niveau se rapprochant du top 100 mondial, largement assez pour passer GM avec les normes.
