Yeah $16 for seaweed and...l'll take STEAK for $1000 Alex!
My husband & I took a riverboat ferry today. Thanks to you, i waved at everyone who waved at us. Before, i was too inhibited to do so, so thank you Solo-san. Much love ❤❤❤ I cant believe a ferry employee drove you, because you didn't pack an umbtella. That's such an incredible kindness!
I am so envious right now! The beautiful ryokan, the delicious food, and, above all, the private onsen. I'd be tempted to get into the onsen and not get out until bedtime. Sigh. I only hope that one day I can experience it for myself. Thank you, as always, STJ, for taking us along with you.
Yes! Always makes me happy to see a new upload on this channel. :)
The hotel and actually the whole experience just looks so peaceful
Now I'm hungry, and also want to take a long bath. I should try going to the hot springs in my country...
STJ san....so soothing, I loved it. So glad we could go together 😁✌🤟
Ooooooh that sea bream rice bowl looks delicious...
So jealous! It looks wonderful!
The audio was so realistic. I was watching the video on my phone and the sounds on the tram sounded like I was there. The video looked good too, nice natural tones. I really enjoyed both of the episodes.
First view. I really like your videos. Long Island, NY here 🙂
Beautiful presentation really did the luxury experience justice! I got relaxed just watching it. That bed would have been so hard to get out of especially after the onsen!
The destination today was beautiful. Hotel room was definitely a 10. I'm sure the onsen was a wonderful experience. Both dinner and breakfast looked delicious. By the way, we have a 5 second rule, so your 3 seconds was well within the time limit. Will catch you in the next one. Take care, stay safe.
I've always wanted to try an onsen, and that looks like a fantastic option. I would have some trouble with a traditional ryokan where you're always on the floor, but this hybrid with Western style furniture would definitely work for me. And having your own private onsen is a great luxury that I didn't know existed.
That room is meant to be shared with someone no doubts on that it is so well appointed. Great service to drive you to the station ... unbelievable. Your fares seemed quite reasonable this time I thought. Something we would all like to experience for sure. Not envious though as you have worked hard to be able to enjoy a little pampering. Beautiful big meals and so nicely prepared and served. Definitely one of your best excursions. Thanks for sharing. Bushyboy Oz.
Free iced coffee? Paradise!
I love this place! will never get to enjoy, but nice you did.
I had never heard of a financier cookie. So I learned something new today thank you. 😁
It's funny how often the rice is the highlight of your meal. This sentiment is common in America too: sometimes the bread is the best part of the meal! Thanks for another wonderful travel experience 👍

For that price bread or rice should never be the highlight of any meal.
What a lovely treat. It looks like it would be blissfully quiet, and the rain didn't detract from the experience. I would love to try an onsen, but it won't happen. Thanks for allowing me to experience it vicariously with you.
Simply breathtaking. Can't wait to visit it
LOL. Thanks for letting us know you were still wearing your pants. xD
I always look forward to your videos. Thank you.
I haven't finished the video yet. I just wanted to say that my first onsen experience was in a natural onsen on a mountainside with the snow falling gently, the river below, and another mountain rising across the river. No noises from machinery. I was told to bring a hand towel from the hotel, and that's all. A ¥200 honor box was the fee. I followed my colleague's lead, the pre-washing and the "shyness" towel. Once I was able to sink into the bath, I soaked my towel, folded it, and placed it on my head. It was the most relaxing experience! Needless to say, I slept for the 45 minutes back to the hotel. I miss my business trips to Japan, of which there were many. Whenever that colleague was at my site, we'd do onsen Sundays. I did spend a weekend at a ryokan twice. Once for an overnight work party, which had a small onsen. That had a weighted tray with a wooden bottle of hot sake and a wood square cup. Ring the bell for more sake, which we did. Another time was a private stay booked by the company because I wanted to experience it. It was near the business hotel I had stayed at. That had an indoor bath and was well decorated. Both times, I slept Japanese style, on a futon on tatami. The local office was always good to me because I wanted to learn the culture, eat the food, and try the language. And yes, the sulfur smell is real.
Very lovely experience, thank-you ...I don't know why you couldn't splurge at least once a year to have this experience again. Sometimes it is good to take care of your inner self by doing something like this.
I really enjoyed this. Thank you for making these wonderful videos.
Great video. Overall nice room and private Onsen.
The places you go to r beautiful ty 🥰
Thank you for the beautiful and at times funny video!!
Each time you depart from Beppu, I wondered about the hot springs. They sounded incredible, and I thank you, STJ, for sharing your experience at the Onsen. I probably wouldn't want to leave such a lovely room, as the private onsen is perfect. That view from the 8th floor lounge and all the free drinks and snacks are just the cherry on top.
13:57 I let out the biggest laugh omg 🤣
Very nice! 👍👍👍👊😎
This one is really special, so much luxury, absolutely beautiful, I'm so happy for you !!🤘😁🤘💜🇯🇵💜🇦🇺
That's the best, soak in the hot springs then go to bed, all in the same room!
What a beautiful place to stay - I felt relaxed just from watching. And that breakfast was amaaaaazing!
What a lovely ryokan! I would absolutely stay there. It's nice to have the private onsen, so my tattoos do not offend anyone. :)

Great place! It must be nice to have the chance to treat yourself to something like this.
I like your video
That room was incredible and of course the food looked amazing and you didn't disappoint. You are so lucky with Japanese accommodation of all types when so much is provided cuts down on the luggage😅 Big Thank You 😊 again ❤- The English Golden Oldie
So THAT is the elusive A-Class toilet that is searched for? So complicated, I would be intimidated. Haha. Very nice ryokan. Very nice room and considerate staff. That is where I will go if I get the chance!

very nice!
I'm sorry. I've been watching and loving this channel for a while. This is not the same person. Am I the only one who noticed?
This was a real treat for you. Maybe you can save up and treat yourself again sometime or periodically. They certainly did a lot to make you feel welcome in your suite with the free drinks and ice cream. I am glad you got your rice. But, sadly, no curry. Thanks for sharing with us.
I bet the amenity kit items smell AMAZING. 😊
Why, when I watch one of your video, I really want to travel to Japan and eat there ? Ah yes, maybe because you are a great tour guide.. Seriousely, your vids should be used by tourism office, you give people need to visit your wonderful country. I'm planning to come this winter thanks of your channel
Very very similar to our stay at Asaya In Kinugawa. Beautiful onsen ryokan. Was the most relaxing two days of my life and of our trip in April and an experience I would highly recommend
S.T.J. , now your talking. take a nice ferry to this place and you got the vacation in heaven .
Wow wie schön es da ist liebe grüße aus Berlin ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice❤
so so jealous
I always cry a little when you don't eat your umeboshi, STJ. I didn't like umeboshi the first time I tried them but it was quite big and all of the salt overwhelmed me. I tried a smaller one some time later and I fell in love with that salty sour flavour. I now buy a large container whenever I can get them in Australia.
What a beautiful ryokan! (105.8F is a little too hot for me though; I prefer a wimpy 102 or 103) The presentation of food, in differently shaped, colored, and decorated plates and bowls always charms me. How kind of one of the ryokan staff to drive you to the train station - kudos to that person!
Le premier!
Fancy❤
What, no fluffy bathrobe? I would be "Mush" getting out of that onsen. The price was justified for the room. The view of the city was crappy, but so what! Your dinner looked beautiful.
